WP plugin to edit text widget using WYSIWYG...Any ideas?

I'm hoping one of you Wordpress experts could give me some advice...

On my WP blog, I have a simple text widget in the sidebar. Is it possible via some plugin or something to edit this text using a WYSIWYG editor as opposed to the HTML code itself?

Does that make sense?

This would make my life easier, so thanks for any ideas!

Derek

I actually don't mind the code myself, but I'm trying to get this set up for my dad. The whole aspect of dealing with HTML freaks him out.

This may be what I have to do though.

    Thanks,

I don't know if this is the same idea, or whether it will help anyone, but when I want to put a graphic, such as a book cover, in a widget as a link, I open a new POST. I click on the html tab and upload a picture from that little square within a square just under the post title.

Lower down it asks for the link. After I put that in, I go down the page to where it says insert into post. I select the size I want, and click on the insert into post. Then, I copy the html that comes up, and insert it into a text widget. Sometimes, I end up editing the text widget by putting in a title, later.

I know there are other ways to do this, but it's fairly simple and quick for me.

Thanks for taking the time to create that very helpful illustration!
