You cannot upgrade Wordpress via Importing

INTERNET MARKETING

...correct? If it's an updated Wordpress blog, say you are going to the next newest version...

...then you need to FTP the new files into your Wordpress folder, correct? You cannot import a file at a time, etc. by logging into the Admin area of your current Wordpress blog that's in need of updating.

Sound right?

You upgrade the same way in which you installed. If it was a one-click fantastico job then go into fantastico, click 'upgrade' and you're done (although upgrades aren't usually available via fantastico until a few weeks after they've been released, and they're not always reliable, either). If you installed your site via FTP, you'll have to upgrade it via FTP too.
