Will Giving People Other Payment Options Increase Sales?

I am thinking about using a texting option to receive sub $10 payments for some info products. Have anyone done this and knows who to use for this? I was looking at this site but have not seen anything about it before. 123Ticket : ADVANCED MICRO-PAYMENT SOLUTION FEATURING PREMIUM SMS BILLING & PHONE BILLING.

I'm just getting tired of newbies not wanting to use paypal to buy stuff from me...especially business owners I am now dealing a lot with.

I just think people would be more willing to text a number on their phone for payment instead of typing in their credit card info into the Internet (especially when most of my clients are still not willing to do this).

I just want to offer as many payment options as is necessary.

Will Giving People Other Payment Options Increase Sales?

Absolutely. As many options as possible and within reason. Sorry
but not familiar with the service you mentioned. But it's worth
    researching and maybe trying out.

thanks ken. from what i see, it is not available in US only Canada and Europe so far. It's weird how the US is so behind the rest of the world when it comes to mobile payments, etc.

I see websites that say, "Donate to Haiti relief with your mobile phone." and think this is the next generation of paypal type payments.

This community is very familiar with paypal style transactions but some of my target markets are scared of using credit cards and such.

I have no agenda but to help those in the same situation. This I feel will pay the bills.

You might want to look some more because a good while back, several years
maybe, I was looking into doing this. I found several companies in Europe who
offered coverage in North America, but it was a little pricey. Maybe by now the
prices have decreased. I don't know.

hey everyone.. I have a question if anyone can help me.

I am seeing a lot of marketers now that do product launches or whatever they're trying to sell... they have it where after a video presentation, lets say 15 minutes into or at any time they set it, they a have a buy now button pop-up... so that way the visitor does not see it right away, but after a while..

how do I get that program that does that or does anyone know where I can go to get it???

thanks a lot guys and gals

I would think so! I'm more inclined to buy something if I don't always need a credit card. (Don't have ANY credit cards anyway).

My point exactly. Especially customers that are not inclined to make purchases on the net. The reason I say this is that I have had "potential" customers tell me they want the product but are afraid to enter CC data online. I used to work in the online processing industry and can understand their perceived concerns.

Thanks for the link, Lisag! I will check that one out.

Funny thing is that some of these people would be more than happy to give their credit card to waiter. Now that is scary

I'm not be an authority on this forum but payment options may increase or decrease sales for instance obviously people that can't afford it, but want it will like the payment option...

but what about the people that can afford both - you're giving them more options which can lead to indecision as a result they say "I'll decide and come back later"

the best thing to do is introduce a payment option later after sales slow down (assuming your doing a limited time product launch)

I think that giving people different way to make a payment will increase sales.

Because people may not like Pay Pal or if you use only Pay Pal they may want to use their American Express Card.

I love to use my American Express, because if I have an issue they always back up their customers.

So one of the best methods of earning a lot of money I think is to use different method of accepting payments.
