Help, How Do I Launch A Social Site Successfully?

I need help launching a social site. I've never done it so I don't have a blue print. Any help is highly appreciated.

Perhaps I should have rephrased my question. This is because the site is up and running, the video chat, video upload area, and forums are already up and running.

I just need to find a way to get members to actually join and participate.

Hesitant to say it... but advertise via other social media sites? LOL

Your right, but some sites are not happy when a competitor comes and spams their site. I don't the warrior forum would like other internet marketing forums to come in here and start spamming.

What niche is your social site about? Perhaps there might be other sites within that niche you could promote on - comment on blogs, forums, etc.

You're right, but some sites are not happy when a competitor comes and spams their site. I don't think the warrior forum would like other internet marketing forums to come in here and start spamming.

what type of of niche do you have for your social site... I tried ning earlier and its a better way to get noticed. However you are right the forums would not like it if their competitors would just spam up their threads.
