Domain Help.........................................

I just registered a domain and then changed the DNS settings to my hostgator.

Everything went fine but, now www.example.com gets me to my website but just example.com without the www. takes me to a parked domain.

Can anyone tell me why this is happening. I am worried because this has never happened before.

      Not sure but if you did it immediately it might not be fully propagated to the new DNS server.

      Just a guess though, give it some time and see what happens.

        I've noticed this happening lately. It used to take a matter of minutes for a domain to be up and live when I registered with Go Daddy.

        In the last month, it's taking longer and longer. So far, the longest I've had to wait was about 20 hours.

        I don't know what's causing this, but don't worry. Just keep checking your domain. It'll be up with the www. eventually.

    Don't sweat it. I have had the same issue on numerous occasions and it has taken up to 24 hours to propagate.

      I would give u complete answer but my code example keeps giving me error.

      and to even give u way to do it the forum is blocking me because it assumes im trying to spam because its my first post.
