New Debt Forum

I just started a new forum, and I am obviously looking for people who would like to join, but also for any pointers about how to get it going. I actually put it up a couple of weeks ago, and my current program is to continue to make a couple of posts a day - answer my own questions, etc.

If anyone is in the debt niche, and has any pointers or ideas - I would love to hear them - My plan is that several of us can use this as a medium to promote our debt and financial services related sites.

If you not in the debt niche, but have experience running a successful forum, I would love to hear your ideas.

Search other debt related forums for ideas on what people have questions about. Join them, post a topic like "What is your biggest debt question" and see how people respond.

Starting a forum takes a lot of work and time. You have to be vigilant about deleting spam and posting new/useful things everyday.

This is an easier niche for ghostposters to go and participate until it starts all by itself.

Go to Paid Forum Posting,Paid forum posts, forum posting from Inb0x.com and talk to Carrie. She'll hook you up with ghostposters who have knowledge of this subject.

You could also run a contest for $50 for the most useful post regarding your forum's main subjects. That way, you advertise the contest at a bunch of forums and get lots of feedback and posts and a week later, you pay one lucky poster $50. Just my two cents.
