Default I am starting to feel ill with clickbank

Quote:
Customer Distribution Requirement

ClickBank will withhold payment of any account balance until the following criteria is met:
  • Sales made with 5 or more different credit card numbers; and,
  • Sales made with two different payment methods (either Visa, MasterCard, or PayPal). Note: PayPal purchases do not count toward the minimum 5 different credit card numbers.
This requirement is in place to help prevent Affiliates from abusing the ClickBank Affiliate program by using their accounts for the sole purpose of fraudulently collecting rebates and/or discounts on their own purchases.
Once you have met the Customer Distribution Requirement, your account will begin issuing payments normally, in accordance with our Accounting Policy, beginning on the next payment issuing date.
What if I have more than $800 outstanding commissions but most of my customers paid through paypal, CB still withhold it? This is really painful... I'm closing to $1k and I don't understand why I'm still on CDR....

Yes regardless of $$ amount they will withhold it until you have 5 cc sales. You must be pretty close though, maybe one to go?

I was at that point on one of my CB accounts for a product I launched about a year ago. I remember being VERY frustrated, especially when I was getting daily sales but they were all through paypal. Honestly, wait it out because you'll get a nice and hefty check then you'll start receiving bi-monthly payments without any worries! It's there for ClickBanks fraud prevention.

Theoretical question, just for fun: If a person makes 100 sales and everyone pays using Paypal, how is withholding the money fraud protection? It looks more like Clickbank looking for ways to hang on to people's money longer.

Same with their monthly fees for accounts that aren't getting sales. Some poor sap works for months to get his first sale and when another sale isn't forthcoming they start taking money out of his account. They already charge a lot higher fees than Paypal. It looks to me like they're just getting greedier.

Wow, I have never heard of the balance getting this big before - that sucks, but perhaps you could purchase something on your own card.. I know you shouldn't have to but all you have to do is find a $10 product with $75 commission and buy through your own hop - then you only really pay $2.50... I know you totally shouldn't have to do this but still it could be way to end the torture!

This is resolved easily mate.

Get 5 of your friends or family to purchase a real cheap product from CB for like $5 through your own hoplink. Obviously tell them to make the payment via the means you want them to, e.g. credit card. And just tell them you will pay them back. The other day Alexa Smith mentioned a chocolate cake recipe product for around this price on CB. Your friends will also get to make you some cake lol.

Problem solved.

Well If I know know how many more CC buys I need before I can get my payment, that might be my last resort

I have one product in CB and 1 at Ejunkie.. The ejunkie thing is outperforming CB by a mile...

A similar question has been raised before.

My answer then:
I've checked my last 100 transactions.

Only 17 were paid with Paypal

Hi AFD
You can check how many transactions you need to be made by cards. Log into your clickbank account click on the "reporting" button then "transaction". Then you will have an idea of how many card sales you need. If you are just promoting one product try promoting a few others to hasten the process.

Whenever you feel like giving up, think how you would feel if you realized you were just a day away from the success you desire. Stay Motivated !

It can indeed be tortuous to wait for your commissions to be released but you will get there, sooner rather than later. If you've had that many sales and you keep up with your promotion activities, more sales will come in and the required number of unique credit card purchases will be forthcoming.

I went through this and second guessed the trust with clickbank.
Almost gave up, but stuck it out and got my first check, not I get direct deposit every week. This is my first consistent money making online business and it is about 99% turnkey (no work needed), unless I want to looks for better marketing tactics to increase profit.

I said it was a theoretical question, Harv, your stats don't change my point. How is withholding legitimately earned commissions fraud protection? The sales have gone through. Clickbank has the money in their bank account. They're making an excuse to hang on to it rather than give to the person who earned it. What am I missing?

i dont understand how you can be close to $1000 but still not gotten the minimum of different CC sales? This didnt take too long for me when i started, maybe diversify your promotion methods. If you gotten many sales there SHOULD be at least that number of sales with different credit cards already.

You made $800 in sales and still haven't met the 5 different cc numbers??????

I made way less than than before I passed that threshold.

Eitherway, you should be in good shape because it's only for the first payment and then it's smooth sailing.

When I joined Clickbank (Years ago) this applied to the first payment only.

I'd go with TheWinner's suggestion, find a good cheap product and get your friends or family members to buy through your link. Then pay them back later, it's a small price to pay to be able to cash out.

AFD,

Are you in the Phillipines? I'm currently in Asia and I'm wondering which of the payment Merchants will be the best recommended for Asians? Paypal seems good so far, Clickbank will only send checks, anyone have any experience with others like paydotcom or ejunkie?

Yes, I am a full-blooded Filipino. I still have my work as technical support for Verizon Highspeed Internet but planning to retire depending on my IM performance assessment by next month or two.

No problem with payment whatsoever if you are in Philippines. I'm proud to say that our country is not included in the lists of notorious countries and even Google is providing us Western Union withdrawal (w/c is not offered to many countries except of course English-speaking countries)

I can accept checks anytime and deposit it to my dollar savings acocunt. The clearing period depends on the bank. Some 10 days, 17, and other 45 days.

Ejunkie I think is the best if you are selling your own product (which I do).. Have never experience with Paydotcom. Clickbank hold checks so I may put it in my lesser priority...

Paypal I think is still the best for Asians...
