Hey My Fellow Newbies, I Have Discovered Why Our Posts Are Not Getting Replies/Positive Responses

The 2 reasons from my close observation are as follows:

1. We don't make our request or ask for help politely. What do I mean? We normally omit the word "please". I discovered that "please help me out" attracts more attention than "help me out". The former is a polite way of asking for help but the latter, to me, is a command.

2. We ask asinine, silly, stupid or foolish questions. For example, "I know that Allen Says Owns Warrior Forum but who owns War Room?"

Trust me, I have asked some very stupid questions, so that's why I used the word "we".

Honestly, it is our fault.

These are my observations.

Did you observe any other reason why nobody replies to your/our posts in this forum?

Have a beautiful working days.

I agree n. 1 is our fault, but how can we know about n. 2?

The biggest turn off is the "hi, I'm new - here's my affiliate link" posts

Or the "here is my sig file, see my sig file, did you notice my sig file, have you checked out my sig file yet - what question did you ask?"

      Or...

"Hi, I'm new here. How do I get traffic to my website?"

and then over in the WSO section from the same dolt...

"Learn How Expert Internet Marketing Pro Makes $823,512,566,233 A Day In My E-Book"

Lol, be happy! The dolts are sponsoring Warrior Forum.

It costs $57 if I'm not mistaken to post the first WSO.

I understand as a Newbie, you may have heard that forums are a good place to network and it is. But it comes through forming relationships and sharing information. It's not a gimme, gimme, take, take. Lets say you do get a few sales from the forum, that is no way to build consistent traffic to your site. So you will have to jump from forum to forum. That becomes time consuming and unsustainable. Instead use the opportunity to learn and share from others within the forum.

The most important thing someone new to the forum could do is learn to use the search feature first. Chances are they'll find the answer they're looking for or learn enough to rephrase their question into something more specific that will get a reply.

      Common courtesy never hurts though
What we really need is a sticky FAQ thread that screams "NEWBIES READ THIS BEFORE ANYTHING ELSE" that links to the various threads in the forum with the answers to the most common "plz help" questions. WF threads moves so quickly that most threads gets buried within a couple of days.

All in all, I guess it comes down to the individual, just because someone's a newbie doesn't mean it's ok for them to behave like a 12 yr old, unless they are! You may be new, but you're still old enough to know what to say, where and when to say it!

No offence to 12 yr olds though, some are more intelligent than many in their mid-30s!

Even if you don't get along well with the search function, how long does it take to scroll back through20-30 pages of threads and scan the subject lines for possible answers? Ten minutes? Fifteen?

Another common newbie thread that doesn't get much in the way of serious responses is the "let's all share our best stuff" thread...

      > "Can someone show me their affiliate sites that are working?"
      > "What are your best niches, and can I see how you promote them?"
      > "What product should I promote, and how do I do it?"
      > "What are your favorite, most successful methods, step by step, in detail?"

When people don't play along, there's usually a complaint about not wanting to help newbies.

One thing to keep in mind...

When you post a question on a forum with this many members, it's not a private conversation between you and whoever might respond. It's more like reality TV - you, the responders, and a world-wide audience. The motives of some of that audience are less than pure.

At the time of YOUR join date - there was such a section. Not many used it - but they just asked the questions again. Even funnier - those who did find the answer would then post asking "does this still apply?".
