Yup, sure is, it's increased my sales conversions on some sites as much as 30% or so, while others have a modest increase in conversions around 5-10%

Not sure but I would like to find a free Audio/Video chat (conference software) something like HotConference but $50 a month is a little unreal... Yeah I am cheap, especially when the chat would make me no money.

Could you charge your users for using videochat on your site? In which case the chat facility could earn you money. Maybe those of your members who want access to such a facility might be willing to pay for it.

No I already have members that pay a monthly fee... What I was wanting it for is mainly training which would just be an extension of the massive amount of features I offer now...

I would have no desire to make money from it ...

I use Live Chat Software to Multiply Online Sales Immediately | Live Customer Support | Zopim Live Chat and I have noticed when there is someone online the conversion/visitor ratio is higher. They have free and paid versions. The paid versions are also very reasonably priced.

I was looking into creating a video chat script, but there is a lot involved on the server side of things. I'd also like a good solution that is reasonably priced. One of my businesses is perfect for this.

you dont need a chat service for that, you can do that on a forum, or do you mean private one to one chats? isn't that what skype and yahoo instant messengers do.
