OK Here goes (deep breath)

I want to start making money online either it be affilliate marketing, CPA, or some other idea. It is that first dollar that is the hardest to make but if I can learn to make that then the rest will fall into place. I am not a stupid person by any means but here I get information overload and start second, thrid, and forth guessing myself not only that I have other critics that say I will fail. I want to prove them wrong. There so many vague ideas on here if I can get 1 straight cut do this, this, this, and this you will be own your way to make money. I have my own website (nothing done on it yet), a little money each week to put towards my future, and plent of time (even if I have to miss sleep) to do the things needed to do. I need someone to give me assignments and keep me accountable. If it helps I live in Winston-Salam, North Carolina. All ideas and critisim will be read and needed.

Thank You

    Hi Scott

    A few questions :

    1) Are you looking for part time money, a full time income, or big bucks? The strategies for each of these goals can be quite different.
    2) Can you invest in this, or does it have to be self-funding? Related - do you need to start pulling money out of this venture for expenses, or can you re-invest back?

The easiest way to make a few dollars to start off, is to provide some kind of service; writing, link building, script installs or even through a "get paid to". There are many forums where you'll find people looking for quick help.

This isn't a "long term" business; it's just a way to get some quick seed money to kick start your activity. You're essentially trading your time for money; and chances are, you won't get too much money for your time.

Next - once you do have some money to fund your venture (I'd guess that you need between $300 - $500 to cover hosting, an autoresponder account, and other miscellaneous expenses) - you need to decide what your interest is in. The three main biz models are

    a) advertising (adsense, text links, etc.)
    b) Affiliate marketing
    c) Your own product or site.

Option c requires a lot more money upfront, or extremely high skills if you want to keep it cheap; I wouldn't recommend it for a novice.

Which ever your choice, read through relevant advice here on the forum.

One last comment; your first venture won't make you a million dollars. Your aim should be to get a cash flow stream going, and to automate the process; once done, you repeat to build it up. The key is to focus on ONE THING at a time, and not get distracted.

    Best wishes.

I am looking for the big prize but I have a level head on my shoulders and know that I need $1 then $10 then $100 and soforth. If I can see money comming in I will weight my choices but I should be able to reinves 50% - 75% or more.

The important thing is to get started earning; anything that you can bring in through small / quick transactions adds to your kitty, gets your feet wet and helps you figure out whether there's a long term benefit in continuing it.

Start looking through the various "webmaster forums" online; you'll find half a dozen that have marketplaces where people ask for small jobs to be done. There are other options like craiglist and other classifieds, freelancer sites and so on; but those may or may not give you quick results.

Next, I suggest you look at the threads here about "bum marketing"; that's a low-or-no-cost way to get started with affiliate marketing, and you can reinvest back into the process by outsourcing many of the activities (there are warriors here who provide affiliate sites; there are warriors who can write articles for you to post, and so on; whatever you are not able to do for want of skills / time, you can outsource once you have some money available.).

Last but not least; don't fall into the "I have some money so I can spend it" trap. Many people get started, then spend all their money on buying unrelated ebooks / courses / unnecessary domains / hosting / services etc. Before you spend, ask yourself
        1) Will spending this get me back my money or more, within a week or less?
        2) If I don't spend this, will anything get affected?
        3) Can I still spend on other activities to promote my business, after spending here?

If you have a lot of money to spare, wasting a little doesn't matter as much. But when you have very little, every dollar has to go the longest way.

remember that there is no real secret, just hard work. It sounds like you need a coaching program more than anything, which of course requires monetary input. Personally i recommend google sniper, its easy to set up and has step by step instructions

    Hey Scott,

I too struggled with that "shiny object syndrome" and not knowing exactly which way to go. The idea with providing a service for some money was a good start for me. It can help you to become an expert in a particular area.

Then, I found that my service needed to be marketed better. Now, I'm seeing some real connections with all of the Internet marketing opportunities and my skills and abilities.

I wish you well in your journey. The critics that say you will fail only say that because they see no other way than what they currently do.

Surround yourself with the successful ones and the ones that believe you can succeed. When you start to really believe and understand that it is possible to create the financial future you dream of, all sorts of doors start to open and your questions get answered.

Take your time and enjoy the journey!!

    :-)

Well scott first and foremost you should search around this forum.

Do searches for specific things you're wondering about. There are so many people on here, successful people, who have written about their experiences and given good tips and tricks.

I've been going though this forum for a while now and almost every answer imaginable is one here.

For the best results and what not I'd say join as a war room member. It's cheap to do and the info you will get on there is invaluable, seriously.

Using this forum as a place to put up your ad and write for people is a good way to get some quick cash. That's not necessarily a business plan just something so you can see that first dollar and say "hey this really is possible"

And it IS possible, alot of people on here right now are busy at work making their online business more profitable and consistently earning income.

There are alot of books out there you can read just try not to get information overload because then you'll get confused on where exactly to start. Check this out for some good ebooks, most free some not.

For any beginner the beginning is difficult. Yea that sounds a bit redundant but seriously ask anyone who has now made it online how they were in the very beginning and they will say the same thing.

If you REALLY need someone to map out the start for you I'd be happy to oblige. PM me or email me at allwritingservice-AT-gmail-DOT-com.
I wrote it like that because some sneaky people come into forums and steal email addys and use them for spam. Before you get all excited this sevice does come at a price...just not a very high one.

I'd say you're best bet right now will be to search the forums and talk to some people and read some short ebooks.

    Stay focused

Also if someone recommends you something and you are not comfortable with it do not be discouraged, as there is more than one way to "skin a cat" per say. There will be Trial and Error, but remember, the same thing does not work for everyone, but once you do find your forte`, grab it by the throat and do not let go .

Also, Hard work pays off, you will get out of it what you put into it, you sound very dedicated and im sure you're hard work and efforts will pay off soon
