Time saving tip for multiple wordpress installs/autoblogging/etc

Just realized (from reading some of the posts), that many people that have autoblogs/roll out multiple blogs, etc, may not know this.

If you have a wordpress blog, and want to duplicate it on a different website, you *definitely* do not have to manually reinstall everything, reinstall all the plugins, etc, etc.

Instead, ask your hosting provider if they have an 'export/import' button. Most do, and then it is simply a matter of taking 5 minutes to copy one website to another, and then making appropriate changes (i.e., the name of the website), etc.

If you do not have an 'export' button, you can generally outsource .zipping the contents of your site, and/or manually backing up your mySQL database (here is an example of that: MySQL Tutorial - MySQL Export - How to backup and restore your MySQL database). Again, this method basically takes 5 minutes. (20 minutes if they test it to make sure everything works out a-ok, install is successful, etc).

Anyways, might be a bit of a time saving tip for those of you with multiple wordpress installs. Altneratively, if you have heard, you can also use the wordpress multi-user setup (WordPress MU › Blog Tool and Publishing Platform) to faciliate multiple installs.
