Hi Warriors...
I want you to be straight up with me - which autoresponder and email list service should I choose: Aweber or Get Response - which should I choose?

Your thoughts please....

GetResponse because every time someone buys from AWeber God kills a kitten.

Just go with whichever you can afford - I personally use GetResponse because it's cheaper (more subscribers for less money).

From what people who use both have told me the deliverability rate between the two is minimal at best, therefore I didn't see the point in getting AWeber. Oh yeah, apparently AWeber has a more user-friendly control panel but I've never had a problem with GetResponse'seses...

I don't know dude, call 911 and see what they have to say.

From my understanding, both services are top notch.

I personally use Aweber and am pretty satisfied with them so far.

I agree Shawnhog, I asked this very question of my Mentors when I first started off. And almost unanamously they said Aweber.

So that's what I started with and haven't had a single problem. (I fact I'm an affiliate of theirs now)

I like the simplicity of setting up multiple follow-ups in their auto-responder.

I'm a big fan of GetResponse as they allow you to use software to automatically add your customers to your mailing lists, invisibly and seamlessly.

    Aweber don't allow this, unfortunately.

I am a subscriber to about 40 lists. It seems that 70% of list owners are using AWeber. From my personal experience... I signed up with AWeber on a weekend and received a personal welcome call from support on Tuesday. If they continue to deliver that kind of support I will be with them for the long run.

I use GetReponse for the pricing and DLGuard integration. Also, they're planning on releasing new features to compete with AWeber's new stats.

Personally, I use ARP3 and infusionsoft. But, I'd if I have
to choose between Aweber or Get Response, I'd say...

Aweber. Even though, I hated them for many years.

Oh well, I have to make a decision right NOW.

I've read all the threads about this and the decision is really hard.

For me it comes down to these facts:

    Aweber:
    • have to to choose right from the start if you want single or double opt-in and stay with it forever
    • expensive ($ 69 for 10.000 subscribers)
    • unlimited broadcasts
    • has awesome stats
    • has a good name and support
    • good delivery rates
    GetResponse:
    • you can change from single to double opt-in and back
    • $ 17.95 for 10.000 subscribers
    • broadcast only to 1000 at once (additional fees are charged $ 29 for 5000)
    • not good stats, but will soon get better (maybe also more expensive?)
    • good delivery rates
The main problem is this double-single-opt-in problematic and the price.

As I said, I have to decide today...

      Hi,

Is this true? So if we have 3,000 subscribers and you want to announce some product, you're only allowed to send to 1,000 subscribers when you announce the product?

Aweber is the one I use because I could not follow Getresponse past the first hurdles. Also they are very slow to respond to help questions. Aweber is east to navigate and fairly reliable. Its been my choice for years.

I just had a chat with Ron Givens from Aweber customer support.

I asked if it is possible to change from confirmed to unconfirmed opt-in back and forth in different lists and he said "yes".

    I asked twice to assure.

How is this possible? So many of you have written that it was not possible for them?

I used to love aweber, but their support sucks...

I never use Getresponse before, no comment and icontact is every expensive!

I am using autoresponse plus, so far so good, but no powerful reporting like aweber does.

2 things I like about aweber:
    1. Very powerful reporting
    2. High delivery rate

I would check Aweber and GetResponse again to make sure you can switch from confirmed to unconfirmed opt-in. My experience is that you' can't. Maybe it's changed.

I use GetResponse and it's been fine, but I hear good things about Aweber too. I guess there's no perfect autoresponder.

I have both, and I am now planning to cancel GetResponse.

Because at the beginning when I used it, the auto emails didn't get
sent til about 1 day after the prospect had opted in, which
could be really bad for my business. So I signed up with aweber
right away, and now my list is with aweber, so no more reason
    to stay with getreponse.

But aweber's priced had changed. When you get a bigger list,
it's a lot more expensive than GR, however, there are still
some private label owners that didn't change the price.

Jeff Walker at profollow.com is one of them that gives the
    old price.

(As you probaly have noticed) it is for the most a part a matter of personal preferences. Thankfully the input is not even close to a PC/Mac war I think you will be happy no matter which you choose.

I've been withGgetresponder for over a year and have no issues with it. I have not used Aweber. Come to think of it the decision was made after I read a review on a guy's blog who had made a pretty thorogh comparison between the two and crowned GR the winner. If it was honest or if he just did a good job concealing his affilaite bias I cannot say, either way it made the sale.

    Regarding expense...

With icontact, you automatically get your own affiliate link in the footer of your emails. Every time I have set up accounts, affiliate commissions (its recurring) *always* seems to pay for the account (we have one with ~200,000)

Does aweber still limit imports AND insist on double opting them in?

I just got off of a chat with a Get Response support tech and they said "There is no limit to the number of subscribers you can broadcast to at once." Only an additional fee if you go over your 10K subscribers in your list, which is $4.50 per month.

I am using aweber, but being I do not have a big list I am considering changing to another ar I saw on this forum

I read what others had to say about Kelvin Browns ar

    http://www.warriorforum.com/warrior-...open-rate.html

And found another thread that chages $35 a year

All the posts were very favorable.
    zero complaints http://www.warriorforum.com/warrior-...ow-prices.html

    Wso at wso

Has anyone had experience with either one?

I love autosender's price and Kelvin's ability to do surveys.

Anybody using either one of these?
