hello i would like to know if VPS hosting will provide more benefit compare to regular shared reseller hosting, as there's more limited RAM in vps hosting rather in regular hosting ?

VPS is certainly a superior option when compared to a regular shared hosting account. VPS is a solid middle ground between shared hosting and dedicated hosting. I have used VPS for quite some time and the stability, resources, and support have been fantastic when compared to my shared hosting providers.

With VPS, you are guaranteed a certain amount of resource usage.

Say your plan offers 512MB RAM and 250MHZ processing.

That means that on any given moment, you will have atleast 512mb ram and 250mhz to work with.

If the server load is low that particular moment, you can use the entire server resources.

It's more of a guarantee that certain resources will be available when needed.

      Regards,

VPS is a better solution but at the end of the day it all depends on cost.

Shared hosting is fine most of the time.

If you're going to stream video from your sites or have a lot of traffic or downloads then you may be forced to move to VPS or another solution.

Boils down to what you need and what you want to pay.

have you ever feel 'downgrade' experience with VPS ? i'm thinking with shared hosting, providers use the best hardware available and sometime they do clustering and do some load balancing using multiple server to handle mysql, cpanel, php...this mean the hardware really optimized for most common site..

but in vps the cpu speed will be limit, the RAM also will be limit... i'm thinking that there could be a downgrade if i host 20-30 website at once....

what do you think ? please share your experience

      readddddddddd my reply.

VPS is always more powerful than shared because you are guaranteed a minimum server resource at all times.

      No exceptions.

(unless your host is overselling VPS which is a big no no).

On top of that, very few hosts do clustering like you suggest.
