Ratio of visitors to clicks?

INTERNET MARKETING

hypothetically speaking, if I have a small site in a niche and I have 1000 visitors a month coming through, how many can I expect will click on the links?

Does anyone know or has done any statistical analysis on the usual visitor/click ratio?

Trying to look at percentages here 5% would be a great result I think...100% would be even better lol

Talk about an impossible question to answer

I don't have exhaustive analysis to base my answer on.

My lowest sits at 7.8% and it goes up to 62.1% on the sites with the best marketing mojo going on.

Based on my averages I'd get around 20%-30%.

Some markets seem to be very click happy when it comes to banners, others seem to click a text link ahead of any content sometimes before they have time to read the content.

Also depends on whether we're talking internal links or external / advertising.
