As long as your not showing them how to use it for illegal activity's. After all if it is all legit, then I don't think they will mind you promoting them.

Not only legal, as mentioned by others, but in fact an excellent way to establish credibility in the marketplace as an "expert" on the product and, by implication, on other related products/activities.

I wouldn't worry too much about charging for your "contribution"; the marketplace will reward or ignore you as it deems appropriate. Conclusion? Give it a shot. If it doesn't accomplish what you want, you can always offer it free ("Previously sold for $XXX! ) as a lead generator.

You can easily make $5k-$10k a month teaching people how to use a popular software.

Actually, you can make a lot more than 10k per month.

One of the better strategies is to JV with the product developer/company and become the 'officially endorsed training arm' of xyz software.

They refer all clients to you.

You put them into nifty marketing funnel.

You sell your level 1,2,3,4 services to them.

You kick back a bit to the company (like half)... truly win/win.

Sure, you aren't selling FREE software you are selling INFORMATION on how to USE any type of software better. Big difference.

It's certainly legal, and if you create some top products I'm sure that you will begin to earn a nice amount from it.

There are tutorials on just about everything imaginable. It's legal and profitable.

You might try checking with the open source software terms of service to help you reach your decision and get the peace of mind your looking for.

I'm not trying to humiliate or challenge anyone that has posted in this thread. I'm simply trying to point out we all have to be careful when someone is asking if it's legal.

What happens to poor Joe, because he listened to you and then somewhere buried in the terms of service, of the software, there is a clause against doing what he is asking about. Did any of you actually check to see if it is legal?

If you did, good for you and perhaps the most help you could give the OP is the URL to the page where you found the information. Then he can make his own well informed decision based on factual information.
