Default Turning point in IM career

What was the turning point in your internet marketing careers? What mistakes did you make initially and what changes started your path to success?

When I figured out every single thing online is user generated and if I want to compete in large profitable niches I had to produce a large amount of content either through hard work or outsourcing.

For me it was when I realized that the problems people were having were way bigger than the solutions being offered. When I was able to find out how to genuinely help people whatever issues they were having, I started to make a profit.

In my experience. I just started to act and implemented what I have learned. Sometimes new IM's get stuck reading money methods and never act on it.

Top lessons for me:

Learning to forget about the money and focus on solving problems and offering solutions.

Outsourcing everything that cost less than $100 an hour a.k.a. placing greater value on my time.

Take action consistently.

There's no magic to it.

I am NOT kidding, it was actually joining forums like this and read up on stuff. When i started i didn't have one clue and simply did things without a plan/idea....

I started out offering services on webmaster forums, made some "ok" money, and then my first WSO here. Every single day: More information, more ideas....and every single mistake and trial/error is one less on the way to success

I would say the biggest turning point for me has been time.

I have noticed that the longer I have focused on my work, the more serious I have become about it.

I am pretty laser focused now and am working everyday to improve my work.

I think the turning point for me was when I threw in the towel and gave up. I knew I had to do something but I was too fed up with trying everything and getting nowhere. I got back on it though, and worked hard. I focused on one thing at a time, that really helped me. Taking action and focusing on one project at a time are both vital, as well as not freaking out.

For me there were a few turning points.

1. Massive content - This was when we started adding 8 posts a day to one of our blogs. This was when the money started coming in.
2. Quality of the content - We realised that what we were writing was fairly poor quality...I'm talking product reviews here. When we started adding really high quality content the sales jumped massively.
3. Worked on less - We were spreading ourselves too thin and working on too many websites at the one time. We stopped and worked on just one or two and it made a massive difference.

When I stopped becoming afraid of failure, things started happening for me. No matter what your past is, forget it, and treat every opportunity as if it's your first.
