INTERNET MARKETING

I was just opening some email in my Hotmail account and I looked over at the ad. I was wondering if anyone has ever done any any banner ads in Hotmail or something equivalent to that?

I use hotmail sometimes and the last thing I think I would do while checking email is clcik on banner ads but if the price is low enough I guess it could be feasible

I know I never do either but it must work because people use it. I wonder how targeted you can get with your ad placement?

  There is a whole industry which has developed using this sort of thing. It's called a Media Buy.
  
  Google has something similar with their site placement.
  
  Media Buys place ads on other people's websites and there are huge numbers of displays available on high traffic sites, such as Yahoo, Hotmail, Gmail and more.
  
  You can target demographically by knowing your target audience and where they hang out.
  
  There are advertising agents which are set up to put you in touch with websites that can place your ad.
