How do you prefer video courses to be formatted?

Hey everyone.

I am hoping to get some opinions regarding video courses in the internet marketing niche.

Aside from the obvious main course video's, what other types of written or filmed resources do you find helpful as added learning references to supplement the video course?

The type of things I am referring to would be stuff like:
-PDF Resource Guides (References to other helpful and relevant products)
-Step by Step Checklists
-Quick Start Guides

Things of that nature.

I would really love any feedback.

Only add the references if needed. It's nice to have main points in pdf

      Thanks Jon!

Do you think something like a Process Map type thing would be helpful?

Sounds to me like the main points you are talking about are almost sort of like the "quick start guide" idea I mentioned.

Thanks so much for your input!

Hi Tyler - if you are referring to a business opportunity, then a mind map would be useful. It probably would have many points from the startup guide notes (not so detailed though!), but in a diagram / graphical representation. That gives the person an overall picture, hence mindmap. I learnt this from one of the business opportunities presented.
Eg: 1. System setup (give sub points)
    2. Market XYZ using ABC (again sub points) and so on

Hope I've conveyed what I mean .. PM me if not.

Hi Jon - is there any harm in providing references or should generally not so that the user does not get distracted or lose focus.

    Cheers!

    Hi Abizer:

Great tip with the mindmap, I have seen those included in several products, and they CAN be really helpful!

This may just be me, but I love transcripts of videos.

I can read and scan a lot faster than people talk, and it lets me quickly hone in on what I can stand to learn versus what I already know, especially in a recorded webinar or long training videos.
