One Way To Grab Top Positions On Google - Free

Hi everybody;
I wanted to share a technique I use to get articles & blogs quickly
indexed by Google and in most cases to the top for the chosen tags
or keywords (midrange competitive or lower).

1. Create a wordpress blog (if you have hostgater you can do this with
a push of the button with fantastico)
2. Place your article with your tags or keywords on the header, the first
sentence and a few times throughout the article
3.submit the URL of this blog to a few social bookmarks like
Digg
Propeller
Mixx
(Google spiders are all over these sites all day long)
Now create a press release using a free service like
Free Press Release Distribution & Free Press Release Submission - PR Log
4. make it a simple announcement about your new blog
and how you plan to have great free content on your niche (simple is best)

5. Send your press release -when you do Google
will usually index this site in 24-48 hours and because
it is cross indexed with a few of the top social
bookmarks the article driven blog will be on google quickly.

The traffic from this can be really awesome - literally
thousands of hits/uniques. If you have a way to harvest
inbound emails, all the better.

    Great tips Neromancer,

    I think many people overlook the value of press releases! If you get google news in your emails you can find which sites google actually goes to with the express intent on distributing their news. Some of those sites might allow free PR submissions. Now that is a gold mine!

    Thanks for sharing this technique.

    However, the social bookmarking aspect may not be as simple as simply bookmarking your blogs. You need to have a name in those bookmarking sites; and there are still other factors that you need to do in order to get more hits from digg, propeller and so on.

    That process doesn't just work for blogs. That's also what you should be doing (or part of it anyway) when you have an offline client. Can work wonders (and at the very least you will impress the heck out of your customer... which can lead to more dollars for you).
