Hi All,

Could someone please help me out on this ?

I work still a 9 to 5 job, but my dream is to quit some day...

Which kind of programs/methods/techniques would you recommend, when I will be going for proven things, which

A) must be passively - running on autopilot
B) should not be maintained - set up and forget
D) newbie friendly, not technical

thanks in advance, BR Lasse

About the only thing I can think of is autoblogs; get a huge bunch of them set up, with adsense (and maybe some affiliate links).
The only problem is that you won't make too much money with these, with a hands-off approach - and if you aren't careful, you may not even make back the cost of the domains and hosting.

Many noobs fall for the "passive income" myth. The reality is that the only way to get almost passive income is to have a lot of money, have trustworthy people who will manage it for you, invested in multiple businesses; Think Bill Gates, for instance.

If you don't already have a fortune, stop dreaming of passive income. Instead, look for ways to build income, putting in the initial effort, and leveraging to speed up the process.

Dont think you'll find a way to make money without actually putting in any work. Everybody who earns passive income has worked HARD to get it there. Try doing Pay-Per-Lead combined with PPC, that works very well for me.

Watch ya. It seems you have had enough of the 9 to 5.
I'm afraid to say that there is no magic button that's going generate you bundles of cash. You have to work hard especially when you're first starting out online. But it can be done.

There are many ways to make an income via the internet. You just have to find out where to look.

    Good luck to ya.

I hear you about working 9 to 5.

I'd like to add that you consider options that seem doable to you, then explore them a bit further before jumping in and making a time/money commitment. From my own experience, I have found that choosing something simple from the start will more likely yield success than beginning with something that requires a lot of time, effort and money. So remember to choose wisely! And good luck.

I earn income from many activities online - affiliate marketing, Adsense (advertising), services/consulting, but by far the most profitable and most "passive" is creating information products.

While it takes some work up-front to plan and create the product (even some of this can be outsourced), you can settle in to a fairly simple marketing method and continue to earn money from that infoproduct for months and years to come.

I have two ebooks that have been on the market for almost 8-years now - with each one I spend about a day every 6-months to update them (keeping them current or expanding them), otherwise, completely hands-off.

That means I spend more time creating new products and ramping up marketing for all of my businesses.

I hear your frustration about the 9-5.

    A) must be passively - running on autopilot - Nothing is 100% passive...either you need to do some of the work yourself, or outsource it, but nothing runs on it's own indefinitely.

    B) should not be maintained - set up and forget - See above.

    C) newbie friendly, not technical - You want to make money without working or learning? I don't get that. How do you plan a business around that?

I have to agree with those who challenge your ambition to develop "passive income". Here the criticism should be leveled at those (often self-declared) gurus who promise WEALTH and easy living based on internet marketing, on "auto pilot", etc. It's an elusive dream.

For years, I've done "real estate". The gurus in that business make the same promises. But it just ain't true. Those who invested in securities over the last two decades learned that lesson when the market nearly collapsed a couple of years ago. The best bet here is likely government bonds, but (sadly) you have to earn/save the money first to enjoy that passive income.

The best advice I've seen here is from Jeff. He developed his own, unique, product and generates nearly passive income from on-going sales, over time. But, even here, he doesn't neglect his products; he updates and revises.

If passive income is your goal, you're going to have to make a unique contribution and the marketplace will reward you. But, even here, you're going to have to pay your dues. In the end, it's all about marketing.

I'm also new to the IM scene, I've researched and gotten ebooks from the internet on how to earn money in many different ways. All of it requires some work of some.

The current one I'm working on is creating niche websites, it's not easy because I have to learn to make it SEOptimized but I kinda like the whole process because I'm learning and I'm not sitting around doing nothing, for my case I'm in my holidays, yes without a job.

There is no such thing as passive unless you have tons of cash to invest in blue chips stocks, in that case you should learn about the economy's 10 year cycle and how money works.

I've been to some sales letter site that promotes saying setup in 15min blah blah earn *insert astronomical sales figure* in 20 days. I've never bought them, but I know they are all too good to be true and besides, I believe I've seen that same product somewhere else.

Bottomline, you need to work for money before it works for you.

You seem to suggest that the online business is all nice and easy or you are looking at all the possible shortcuts to success. Nothing comes that easy. Try not to fall for all the myths you may have come across or anyone trying to tell you it is that easy. You may even want to stall quiting your 9-5 job and do whatever you may wish to get involved in a business only on a part time basis. But of course that's just a suggestion. However, statistics do show that more than 90 per cent people fail in Internet Marketing. There is a lot of hard work to try to be in that 10 percent category of successful marketers.
