Hi Warriors,

How do you password protect Wordpress?

I want to turn a site of mine into a FREE Membership site but you need to register to view the content.

How can I do this easily?

Hello it is quite a simple process after you do it once or twice...

If it would make your life easier I'll be glad to do a quick video of the proccess

I have found that a quick video you can stop and start is better that a 3 page disertation
where you have to sometimes guess what the person is talking about

Here are some ways...

Wp- Members plugin does this: WordPress › WP-Members WordPress Plugins

Private WP - WordPress › Private WP WordPress Plugins

Here is also a great mix of plugins I have used:

WordPress › Show User Level Content WordPress Plugins - You create a post, and give a teaser of the content. The post you want hidden from public view (only to be displayed to registered users) you simply wrap in [Hide] tags

WordPress › Pie Register WordPress Plugins - This plugin replaces the standard WP registration with something much better and more customizable.

WordPress › Login With Ajax WordPress Plugins - This will display a login box in the sidebar of your site.
