Scam Alert: This Is The Latest Nigerian Scam; Warriors Be Very Cautious!

by King Shiloh Banned

I have been receiving some beeps and a particular text message on my mobile phone for some days now from unknown, foreign, strange telephone numbers. I don't know how they got my phone number.

The text message reads, "We have been trying to reach you but couldn't get through. Please call us now because we have a package for you urgently." I can't remember ordering for anything.

So, it seems as if they have changed from sending scam emails to sending scam mobile phone text messages.

Please be at alert!

I think some of these scammers join forums like Warrior forum in order to get people's contact information and all that.

Little wonder, my fellow Nigerians who have been hiding their identity has refused to show up to take up the challenge. Yes, I mean those that are hiding could be the scammers we have to be afraid of.

I have already vowed NOT to do any business with a warrior whose real face and location are not showing.

Please beware of scammers.

Happy weekend.

    Hi King...

I haven't received any telephone calls yet. But for the past couple of weeks they have flooded my email box. I would bet I get 30 emails a day, from about 6-8 different web address. That's in my Yahoo mail, my other email addresses haven't been affected yet.

    Thanks for the alert.

Of course, Yahoo mail is the major culprit just to show us how insecure our business could be if we are using a free webmail service provider to handle it. Free things may turn out to be a pain but there are free things you cannot really avoid and one of them is having a Yahoo email address.

Well, I can't remember neither can I count how many of such emails I receive daily. And I know that almost everybody that uses Yahoo mail has seen such scam emails.

But it seems they have diverted their attention to cell/mobile phones which prompted me to share my experience so that all of us would be aware of this new development and be fully at alert.

Thanks for the wonderful info. But why do you think the spammer will be a Nigerian. I'm absolutely surprise how you made a conclusion that "This is the latest Nigeria scam; warriors be very cautious". I thought a Nigerian has scam someone, only to find out that you have been receiving unknown calls and text from a foreign number which you concluded might be a Nigerian.
Anyway, its your country. So you know yourselves.

Maybe you need to read the post again.
And you sound like a typical Nigerian youth...You know what I mean.

      Please where are you from?

        Thanks King for the information.

You are a wonderful ambassador for your country and are showing that it is wrong to tar everybody from a certain country with the same brush.

I made the mistake of falling for a stupid ad on Gumtree where I made an enquiry about a puppy for sale.

My alarm bells were ringing immediately but not after I revealed my telephone number. It turned out not to be a local woman in my area but a Nigerian scam outfit.....now I am bombarded with phone calls.

My local police station put me in touch with a man who spends his time leaving traps for the scamsters in order to catch them by entering into conversation with them.

I think he is fighting a losing battle but he seemed keen to take on the case.

        Thanks again King.

          Hi Gary,

          Thanks for the kind comments.

I will always alert warriors whenever I get such information because I know that some folks here are not here for real business but they are just looking for unsuspecting people to take advantage of.

Well, had it been the guy or whoever knows the person he called on phone he would have looked for someone else in stead of wasting his time - good riddance to bad rubbish.

Gary, let the fool continue calling, he will soon give up just like the one that had been calling me did. He is just one of those unrepentant morons in Nigeria and some parts of the world, especially Africa.

Fellow Warriors watch out for him.
You have absolutely no evidence that that is Kings intention and I think it was wrong of you to make that post.

Every Warrior - no matter where they are from - needs to establish trust and confidence with fellow Warriors.

Even if it was Kings intention to create a WSO, he has gone by it the right away by proving over time with intelligent and heartwarming posts that not everybody from Nigeria is a con man.

Respect and trust is earned and King has consistently delivered on everything he has said.

I hope that your post is removed.

        Hi Kim,

Good afternoon from King in Nigeria.

Where have you been Ma? I have not seen you around lately.

        I hope you are well.

      Hey my friend,

I like people like you that can come to forums and say or "think" anything about anybody without minding the consequence but I have an advice for you:

Please save yourself some grief and look for another forum because you don't belong here.

You definitely need an attitudinal change or you may just get yourself banned faster than you had ever imagined.

Definitely, thanks for the heads up. We have to be careful with telephone and email messages. Recently I've gotten a slew of phishing emails that are VERY good imitations.

    Be safe out there!

I've received similar messages but via email. The odd thing is that there was no attachment or any instructions whatsoever. Perhaps they wanted us to reply the email before they continue with their scam.

      NK,

That's exactly what they are looking for. If you show interest by replying the email, they will continue from there.

    Thanks for the info.
For some reason this famous quote comes to mind,
"Weak is he who permits his thoughts to control his actions, strong is he who forces his actions to control his thoughts."

It's nice to be informed about such things as this scam but we are all here
to learn from each other, so Thank you for the info and let's get on with our day.

    All the best,
    Doug

      I thought as much...You are a Nigerian...

I have nothing against you but I would like to see your real picture and location before I make further comments.

And I think you should re-read what you posted about me in your first post in this thread.

As for the highlighted words, I doubt if you ever trained any Nigerian youth on how to make money online "legitimately" considering your attitude.

King Shiloh you are saying i don't belongs here. Anyway, none of your words will persuade "Allen" to ban me because i have not done anything wrong rather than contribute to the thread.
I'm always surprise the way people just make conclusion without considerable research. You guys just think Nigeria is the worst country in the world. Whenever scam is mentioned, the first things most of you thought of is Nigeria.
For all i care, Nigeria is better than Vietnam, china, Russia, south Korea, India and so forth. So why should Nigeria be treated as if they are junks. I hate that from my heart.
I have personally trained more than 500 Nigerian youths on how to make legitimately money online. This has been a campaign i have carried out since last year to help my country. I'm just working in accordance to the project of our minister of information and communication, which titled "Re-branding Nigeria".
So please, i beg you all. You guys should take this thing too personal. I have not committed any crime and i will never commit any crime because I'm a God fearing Being.

      PEACE
