I recently contacted CB account dept. to report that I didn't receive the last check that was shown as sent in my account. However, they told me that they need to deduct USD 20 to stop payment and resend a new check.

Is there anyway to avoid the USD 20 charge? I mean, I have never received the check. If nobody clear it, the check will get stale on its own is it? Then, is it possible for them to just include the amount back into my account or how?

Sorry for asking but I am not good at accounting.

    This is their account policy that they deduct that much amount if they need to reissue the check. Have you contacted your local postal department about this issue?

      I don't think that's possible. It's not a registered mail. Just a normal post.
