Selling Website Advertising Via Subscription Site Model?
I have recently put up a site that ranks 6th on Google and 3rd on Scroogle.org for a search term that costs $3.99 a click on adwords according to Semrush.
The rest of the 1st page is eBay, Amazon, Nextag, etc. The term gets about 1000 exact searches a month and my site got 89 uniques and 367 views in its 1st full month of Feb. So far in March it has 75 uniques and 286 views.
I am working on building backlinks and increasing rankings for this site.
My original thought was to use EPN and adsense to monetize, but I am new to adsense and cannot get targeted ads to show on my site that invlove my main keyword. EPN is creating about $12/mth.
There are small mom & pop sites with no page rank advertising for this keyword that I can contact about advertising on my site.
My idea is to set this up like a subscription site. If I charge $30/mth and offer the 1st month free this would cost them less than $1 a day to advertise to people who they would pay $4 a click for thru adwords.
If it was set up thru Paypal as a subscription I could set this and forget it and it would add $360 to my bottom line without any added work.
I have never sold website advertising before & would appreciate some input from those who have.
Is this something that can be accomplished? And is my price realistic?
