I Love the Warrior Forum and IM But....

I need to leave it for a little while....well quite a while I think.

In the last two weeks, somebody posing as me used my hands to buy 4 WSO's.

That person had not done that for some time, and I can't explain why he came back to do it again. You would think he would know better than that because he has been in IM for over two years.

Well since he bought all of these WSOs, I am going to take them and make the most of it.

So I need to go underground until I use them to make money. I need to get off of here (unless I have a question that needs to be answered..no better place for that) and make some money. This place is great, but I have not figured out how to keep that other person from seeing another WSO that gives him an edge.

I have also decided to save some of my opt-in emails so that I can temporarily get off of all marketing lists. In two years, I have rarely missed an update that I had to have through email. Marketers marketing to me is ethical and perfectly fine--it's their fault, but I need to be in control.

I will get back on the lists with those saved opt-in emails, (marketers that I like to learn from) once I have made this stuff work. Frank Kern, Jeff Walker, Brian Johnson and Alex Goad are going to be "great" marketers when I come back. I won't miss anything I don't think. Do you?

Maybe I will report back to this thread. Does such a strategy work? We will see. What is the strategy? Less time reading--More time doing. I have learned this over and over since 2007, but this person keeps coming back, getting seduced by signature threads and buying WSOs. Rarely does he use them all.

To my friends...see you later in this thread. I don't know when that will be. I need to keep this spender under control.

Phew...I need a confessional.

Peace,
CT

Oh yeah, if you haven't figured out, the ninny that bought the WSO's is me.

Everyone...Forgive me for my weak attempt at satire and humor. What I was saying in this thread is that I had a two to three week binge of forum posting and buying WSOs after having been pretty disciplined and focused. Thanks for those who were concerned about me being stolen from, but I should probably be better at being sarcastic.

Why is that an issue with this forum? Isn't that something you should sort out with Paypal? You can leave here and go somewhere else, but there are d*ckheads everywhere.

I changed my business model a little bit and started hiring out the Philippines (as well as my wife). I will have to see how many I actually got done.

Also, people have been having me ghostwrite full length business books for them.

If you can do this, it would be appreciated.

On Monday, I'm releasing an update to a report written over 13 years ago. Although the update includes more "topical" information, the CORE of the report (the triad of Focus, Foundatin and Framework) might be exactly what you need.

You can downolad the 07 version here:

    http://www.angelfire.com/biz/gjbiz/byba07.pdf

The FAVOR I have to ask is this: Read this "old" report this weekend, then on Monday, when the NEW 2010 edition comes out, allow me to send it to you so you can see what has been updated, OK?

The report is called Before You Buy Anything. The CORE of that report shows you how to get focused in on what you want to do, and THEN you can choose one of the many possibilites.

It has always been FREE. The UPDATE will be too. So the only thing you have to lose is a few minutes of time. IF after 5 minutes of reading, it isn't for you...then close it up, throw it away and continue on in the direction you are going.

IF you choose to read it...and the UPDATES, I'll make myself available to you for some guidance and encouragement...and get you on the right track.

And the "idiot" you refer to...we all have one in the mirror, and often times, he/she is our biggest stumbling block.

Thanks in advance for doing me this small favor.

    gjabiz

PS. Many of you may need to read Before You Buy Anything BEFORE you buy that next WSO.

This is what I do, it might help you. I filter all emails unless they are ones that I really want to see in gmail so I don't get distracted with the latest thing , I focus on one project at a time - start to finish, I won't buy a bright shiny thing (usually but I do slip) unless I'm going to use it in the next 24 hours. That helps keep me in check it might help you I only read forums on lunch breaks and when I've done my work for the day as well - it's my reward for being good
Sage advice Leanne, thank you. I think I can live with that starting tomorrow, although I am going to do a hiatus of sorts.

Your problem isn't that the forum is stopping you getting things done and treating it like that is the case is just another layer of disassociating from the blame in the same way as having an alternate personality that's doing the buying.

          It's all you.

You do these things because at some level you're getting a pay-off.

The way to change your behavior is to identify that payoff and address it.

The problem isn't the wso section or the forum - so leaving won't fix it.

It's highly likely that you were just not clear about your goals and your plan for how IM would reach those goals and so were just easily distracted by things because you had no reference for whether they were moving towards your goals or away from them.

This is a very common situation - I had it myself for quite a while too.

Whatever you do - don't forget that we'll be here when you get back.

lol, Good Luck on your endeavors to take those WSO's and kick the "Other persons" butt by making some serious money.

Sometimes it is best to step away and focus for a little while. Removing all distractions can be very helpful. I just finished a purge of opt-in emails myself. I think I only left 3, and all of them because they are the people's plans I am actually using.

I love to learn about all the new shiny toys, but it is virtually impossible to implement all of them, as you eloquently put, sometimes you need to shut the other things off, and work on implementation, not on more learning.

Let us know when you hit your next milestone of success, we are looking forward to the report.

    Take care,

Charles, that other guy has the Paypal logins to 90% of us on the forum. Occasionally he actually teaches us a few thigs or keeps us ahead of our competitiors, so don't be too hard on him.

I think we all suffer from 'don't want to miss out' syndrome (heck, my WSO Pro scarcity in a box would never work if people only bought what they needed!) but it can be a blessing. I'll tell you why:

When I started on this forum I read a few WSO's that were just right for what I needed. Then a few more, which weren't exactly right for me at the time. Then another good one... you know the pattern - I'm preaching to the choir here. The trick is mate - you have to find out what you are actually interested in DOING, and not just INTERESTED in. Then, with every single WSO, or ebook, or webinar - find that one part that speaks to you. The one piece of information where you can actually APPLY to your long term business plans. Then... you will easily be able to refer to it in the future (Ref: Veit Schenk).

I have a serious problem with my procrastination and kangaroo approach to business. I plod on putting off the big jobs, then jump from one great idea to the next... learning as much as possible... but all the while - that big project is on the backburner still.

I'm sure you can actually use a ton of the info you learnt, so I'd recommend analysing the ebooks you enjoyed and vaguely remember getting some pearls of wisdom from. See where the good parts can apply to your long term strategy. Package it all together and there you will have your business plan.

In any case, thank you for your post. It's a kick in the pants for a lot of us

Zanti, your sig is a real motivation in itself

Okay..made my first entry tonight. I will try to update daily. Please stop by every so often.

    http://www.warriorforum.com/blogs/ch...Tozd3fVTEf094e

I hope to have enough to tell. I am sure that some of you will have comments on strategy and whatever else. But I think with my new accountability partners starting next Monday I (we) am well on my way.

To those that may not have realized, my paypal situation was a weak attempt at satire. My apologies. What I meant to say was that I all of a sudden after being very focused has a rash of WSO buying and forum posting. I was kind of publicly dropping out as another measure to hold myself accountable.

Everyone made valid points and proved to me once again why this place is such a blessing. I know it isn't perfect, but it is a blessing to be with like minded individuals. But to the point, I recognize that I need to get moving on stuff and this thread was a very public way of doing that.

I also know that good friends that I have on here say that they have run into that problem too. So it was/is my hope to inspire and be inspired by those who break the logjam and start getting stuff done even if it is wrong. So I guess this is the best place to end the thread and stat my self imposed exile. I will 'go naked' (reveal my methodologies) on my blog--without revealing the methods of the course designers, but my postings wont be based necessarily on learning new things or helping others; it will be based on what I DO with this stuff.

I appreciate all of the very good feedback that I have received in this thread and look forward to seeing some of your shining faces stopping by my Warrior Forum Blog.

    Peace to You,
    Charles

Rather than disappear all up why not limit the amount of time you spend here to say 30 minutes a day? That way there's more time for taking action but you still get the benefit of the wealth of knowledge here. Life's all about balance.

As for buying WSO's, why not tell a friend or family member that you're not going to buy another WSO for at least a month and then commit to that.

That way it's not just about you anymore and the thought of having to report in to someone else takes the sparkle off those tempting WSO's signature lines.

    Just a thought.

After having spoken with a mentor as well as hearing some of the feedback from some of the folks here; I will discipline myself to limit my posting and reading time.

I will continue my blog on the WF.

I have decided on a business model and will ride it until it breaks.

Interestingly,it was the one I liked best when I started IM but abandoned because I thought the money was too slow and didn't think people were going to buy. That did not turn out to be a good decision.

Since autoblogging is a slow method, I will need to figure out where I can create value for faster money in another area until my blogging is earning what I would like for it to earn. But I know that I am doing that (working in niches and methods other than autoblogging) in a way not to hurt my core business of blogging. Autoblogging is a lightening rod, I know for controversy these days.

However, as I will explain in my WF blog I have two things that I learned six or seven months ago to help me to avoid the excesses of the autoblogging method. As a matter of fact, between my prior knowledge and the courses I bought, I think I can create visitor value worth coming to the autoblog for.

So, I will come back, keep up my Warrior Forum Blog, keep my posting and reading to a minimum and work my autoblogging/affiliate blogging plan.

I appreciate everyone who participated in this discussion. May God Richly Bless you.
