Use Amazon S3 and you can make your videos as large as you dare.

There will be a cost in increased download times for your viewers, however, so it's usually best to optimize as much as possible.

Ok I have S3 --- but how do I embed them so they load up very nicely for all users of all speeds?

You might find it worthwhile to give your viewers a choice of links. Some people will actually prefer to pick "simple," "standard" or "lower resolution." When they do, not only will they get the streamlined surfing experience they prefer, you won't have to pay as much for the video hosting service.

Google for something like "amazon s3 how to host video" and you'll find plenty of tutorials.

Frank Kern's latest videos are about 850x450 pixels. I'm one of many people who think that in terms of picture quality, they look great. That's about 2/3 the size of 720p HD. If they were shot with a 720p camera, a third of the picture could have cropped out in editing - giving lots of flexibility to not have to frame the shot too precisely - or the whole frame could just be scaled down to fit. I also really like the 3D flip of the screen shots in his training video.

Have you already shot your videos?

I'm sure that when you say you want the largest and most crisp of videos that this is for your visitors benefit. Right??

Then you may want to consider the ability of the masses to play your videos on their systems.

This means you should have the largest and most crisp video that you can get after it has been compressed and rendered into the best possible format.

This starts with the video recording. With Camtasia you may want to consider the Techsmith screen capture codec for video and PCM (.wav) 44.100 khz 16 Bit Mono - 86 kb/sec for Audio.

There are several other fantastic options available for the codecs like ffdshow & DivX, but Techsmith is there already and ready to use without any configuring required.

Now that you have your video recorded using the correct codecs & settings, you can render (produce) your video in mp4 format which in my opinion, is the best quality and at the same time the smallest file size. This will make your visitors happy because the quality of the video is A1 and the video loads quickly because it is not a huge file.

An important note is for you to add a brand or watermark or bug or whatever you want to call it - basically your url - to the video during the rendering process. This way, no matter where your video is being viewed from - your site or from someone that has downloaded and added it to their site - you are getting the credit and additional traffic to your url that is watermarked on the video.

Now upload your mp4 to your Amazon S3 account and make all the files - not the containing folder, but just the files - readable by everyone. Yes this is allowing anyone that views your video to download it, but that is why you have the watermark on it.

      FREE advertising.

Now if you are concerned with securing your video files then there are several ways, both free and paid, that you use. You can find a few of these methods by doing a search here on the Warrior Forum for something like S3 Security or how to secure my Amazon S3 videos...

The easiest way to stream the videos to your visitors is to simply provide them the link to the html file of the video. Alternatively, there are a bazillion players on the web both free and paid, that you can use to embed your video directly onto your site for your visitors viewing pleasure.

Flowplayer is a good one, JW PLayer is another great player. I use Easy Video Player, it is easy to use and has loads of extras for the internet marketer.

There is quite a bit you can consider when trying to provide hi-quality videos for your site visitors and there are loads of details that I've not mentioned here but simply touched on some of the major points.

I hope this info helps you provide the best quality you can. The Camtasia people at Techsmith have some pretty good video tutorials on getting the most from your Camtasia Studio Productions. If you have not checked them out - you should.
