does video marketing work?

i have posted some 200 videos on youtube and so far after a month they have kinda stopped at 600 views. Is there something wrong with video marketing or myself?

  • It's not you... It's just there are a lot of people trying to do exactly the same thing, youtube (& other video websites) have recognized this... so they basically try to make it difficult for you to use this to promote your products/services... "They" don't like people marketing/promoting/etc, so have developed some algorithms to minimize the effectiveness...

Basically, what it means is... if you want to be successful with video marketing now, you need to be original, and actually have "useful" content (not just simply developing a video around a particular keyword, etc, etc)...

Video Marketing only works if it goes VIRAL (Chris Crocker, hint, hint) or you constantly keep blogging crap to get views like many YouTube bloggers with misleading pictures etc.

Other than that, it pretty much sucks. YOu can build a followership through video-blogging and video tips, but it's a grind. Try getting traffic with PPC, much quicker.

Nick is right, it can be tough. You definitely want to find a way to have it go viral. I would suggest that you look at what other video's are popular in your niche and focus on things that way.

Videos do NOT need to go viral to make you money.

I say there is likely something wrong with your approach and how you are using the videos.

Quality not quantity, try making an information packed video and then go find other videos that are popular and negotiate some deals. Comment on popular videos with more good info and keep going.

yes, the key is to provide value in everything that you do, whether it be marketing articles or videos...once you do you will find that people will generally like your videos, rate your videos well, and google will do the same as well.

Your videos will do much better if you provide value to the marketplace. Take a look at the video below by Chris Rempel. It's not funny or stupid or controversial which are the suggested routes for the videos to go "viral".

Just a simple, to the point video.

Its you, there is nothing wrong with video marketing.
It would also help to have more information and maybe a link to a problem video so you could get better advice.

If your car wasnt running properly would you walk to a garage and ask 'is my car faulty or is it me' and expect them to answer you?
