College Students: Not enough time for IM?

Any college students out there that just don't get around to the time to do IM? I'm a college student and as a result I've been sitting on a nicha that I want to get into... for about a month and a half. Spent some time writing site content and doing a site layout, but that's about it

I'm on spring break now for a week, so hoping to pump some stuff out, but still.

Anyone ditto this?

I used to be in a similar situation like you when I was in college but I found a workaround: Only go to the classes you really need to, and work at IM in your spare time. That's how I paid my tuition fees

If you wanted extra time for IM, you'll find the time. Drop your after school activities, work on weekends while your friend go out, miss your favourite tv program, kinda easy really.

If you really want it, you'll get it.

Yup, I am at University and find it hard to balance my time between University work and IM especially since IM is far more important to me and University is just a back up that seems to become less important day by day.

Just try and balance both and you will be fine

Good decision. I am happy that you choosed a right path. I will suggest that dont go deep in the IM as you are newbie. Starts from the basics and then go ahead.

Start from article marketing or work as a free lancer. When u will start from content writing, you will have a lot of experience about IM.

      I hope this Helps!

Wow...if my clasmates say this quote (got a product, I'm sure after knowing this they will buy)

I was on spring break last week. I find the time, but often I get so excited about IM I wake up at 5 in the morning to do a little here and there. I also try to keep websites like facebook to a minimum...unless used for marketing.

I would dedicate a certain amount of time a day to IM, maybe an hour a day. During this time read on IM, brainstorm, heck draw a stick man with cash in his hand full of cash made from IM, just get in your head that this is a lifestyle and you're going have to work at it day in and day out if you wanna succeed.

  • It's no different to the problems anyone else faces with work-life balance.

A lot of people are working full time jobs and then schedule their IM activities around those. Being in college is actually a huge advantage, because it gives you much more flexibility to work hours that are convenient to you than a job was.

Of course, you have to consider having less of a 'social life' if you really want to get going with IM, but that's the same as with anything you want to take up and do well with.

Best way to do it? Just do it. I bartend, go to school full time, have a girl friend and social life and manage to do ok with IM. The best thing I did for myself was choosing to go to bed early and waking up around 6 or 7 and exercising first thing in the morning. Really sets the tone for the entire day and get's the ball rolling.

Why are you in school? To get a job? If yes, then why are you in IM?

For me, I'm in school to get a degree. I want a degree so I can have a sense of achievement and to have something nice to occupy my wall. I'm basically putting in the minimal amount of effort required to pass all my courses and devoting all the rest of my time (that I'm not wasting) to IM.

Prioritize. If you're doing IM as a hobby, then you may as well stop doing it completely and focus 100% on school.

I agree that if you are in school you can find the time to make internet marketing work. I have a friend that I started marketing with (well we started IM at the same time) and he was in college when he started. He was making $10,000+ a month by the time he left college, so it is absolutely doable.

Even if you spend an hour or 2 a day on IM it is more than 95% that attempt to do it. The secret is to stay consistent and always have a great plan of action to know what your next step is.
