GuruDaq - Thumbs up? or Thumbs down?

I asked this question as an afterthought in one of my other threads but nobody said anything.

I'm looking at GuruDaq as a potential source of information about which Internet Marketing Gurus are the best sources of quality teachings.

What say you?

    It's got names I've never heard of. And some names I know (notably Frank Kern) aren't listed.

    So what's the deal?

    I haven't looked at this site since 2006, it's pretty outdated in regards to new players in the market, but I think the Guru fascination of 04-07 has died

    I'd say "Thumbs up" - but then, I *would* say that, I'm biased, because
    my name has been on that list for many years. ;-)

    Seriously, though, I use it as an index of my site's SEO effectiveness,
    and when I see the rank drift downwards, know it's time to do something
    about it.

    Also, when I look for JV partners, Gurudaq is where I go to see if I missed
    anyone - most of the folks on the list are friends.

    It has value - though if you're looking at it as if it's an index of the best
    marketers ranked by whatever criteria, I guess you'll never find one
    anywhere that has a consensus. After all, there's a thread on the front
    page of the forum asking if Frank Kern is a better marketer than Steve Jobs
    - and many think he is!
