If someone posts in a thread for another Warrior that they are looking for a particular service, is it okay to PM the person who responded, even if they were posting for someone else?

Specifically, if someone posts that they offer writing services, for example. Some one else posts that they are looking for writers (or something similar), is it okay to PM the person that said they are "always looking for writers" or "always looking for content" - even though you are not the person who started the original thread?

I don't want to step on any toes.

PS - I am not talking about sending a PM trying to take business away from the OP - just contacting someone who says they are looking for multiple people.

I would appreciate your thoughts on this.

    Shay,

I'm not sure I completely understand your Q?, but IMHO, if someone is asking for a content writer or articles, go ahead and PM them. If the OP is looking for work, don't Hijack their thread.

    Does that make sense?

I have had people PM me for several reasons. There are many replies to threads on this forum.

If someone posts "for multiple" writers or some service, you would not be taking sales from just one person.

I have always operated under the assumption that competition is always good. There is room for everyone.

I wouldn't hijack someone's thread either, if anything write your own post and offer a service there

    Shay,
I'm always looking for talented people in all areas. If I post a thread looking for something I would welcome all responses.
And if I see someone post a thread offering a service, I do not hesitate to PM them. I would think we are all here to help each other in any ways we can, so unless someone was trying to take business from someone else, I don't see any reason you shouldn't PM them.

        Shay,

I'm with Steve on this one. If someone is looking for work or is offering work, I would PM them. Part of the beauty of working online is building relationships.

I've been watching this forum for many MANY months now... and recently decided to create an account to contribute my knowledge here so that I can "Give Back" for all of the great advice I have received simply by staying ontop of everything.

        Let the friendly relationships begin!

Shay, I'm Anna by the way. Nice to meet you!
