How long does it take for backlinks to show up?

Hey everyone....

How long does it take for backwards links to your site to show up?

I am trying to ascertain what's what and cannot.
I thought that I had more backlinks to some of my sites but they do not show up?

I think it depends on how important the back link is.
A PR-0 or page rank 0 is not as important as a PR 10.

Hm, I'd say that depends on where you expect your backlink to show up. It's a huge topic. Can you specify what you're looking for?

When you go to a site and right click and go down to page info and then to
"backwards links"

or when you type in for example..... link:http://warriorforum.com (on google)
thats where I am looking

and I am simple looking for what sites are linking to my sites. (1 way)

And for instance.
....If you hav a squidoo lens and embed a text link to one of your sites does that constitute a back link or are the a no follow? (not that I am really concerned about that one...it just popped into my mind)

A lot of the low-quality links may NEVER show up. For example, I've had Squidoo lenses and links from personal sites pointing to one of my sites for over a year, yet Google still doesn't know about them. Links from bigger sites seem to show up in about a month and sometimes much quicker.

I guess it would depend if your backlinks are indexed on google as well. If you get your site backlinked to those sites that are indexed, you will have a higher probability of them showing up as backlinks. not sure about this though.. seems like the case
