Only just found this fabulous forum, thanks for all the info. Not being exactly new to internet marketing I just have beed doing things the wrong way not having made any money online, tried google ads click bank, online training etc. Anyway just found some of those lovely looking blogs for sale in the forum and intend to get a couple shortly. Has anyone made any profit yet by using these? They are highly attractive to the eye and full of good content. I don't want to give up marketing and I thought these may get me kick started?

I mean whether it is a blog or a website you are going to be doing the same thing to make money with it. You got to do your keyword research to find keywords that get a decent amount of traffic but at the same time don't have way too much competition, and then you build your site, and SEO it for your keywords.

Then start the link building and watch your site or blog rise in the search engines, then comes the money. Don't give up, it will pay off if you keep up with it and keep working hard.

Thanks, yes thats what I have been trying unsuccessfully in the past hence why i am buying blogs to host on my own domains that are already built, full of keywords, links, content etc. Just wondering who has had some success with these pre built blogs/sites?

I've had success buying unique blogs, but never auto blogs or PLR blogs.

Doesn't matter what type they are as long as they are unique. PLR blogs take lots of work to make money.

    Hey Gary

Wi wouldnt bother buying blogs. Why would these guys sell them if they were making money? I can see you have been struggling a lot in IM ... if you want I can show you the right track? PM me if you want and I'll help you out a bit.

Some people build blogs specifically to sell them. I've made money buying brand new start up blogs when I had extra cash. They don't have to be currently making money to make it in the future.

The simple answer is: for a lump sum of money.

People's businesses evolve over time and it is common to sell off various aspects of it as you go along.

Selling a blog that is making money so you can move onto something else is no different to selling a car that runs just great so you can upgrade to your next vehicle.

I have built up a number of profitable websites, moved onto other areas in my business and hence sold the sites to people who have gone on to do very well out of them.

To continue with the car sale analogy, the trick to buying is understanding what you're looking at. If you buy a lemon it isn't going to take you anywhere. But if you know how to pick a good investment you can get very good mileage out of a quality website.

That said, it may serve you to build your experience in IM before making any significant investment in existing sites, so that you have a good eye for valuation.

At the same time, if you plan to build a site to target a specific niche and you can find a ready made blog that fits your purpose, you can get a good start that will save you a lot of setup time.

You should look at cheap sites as a starting point and have a proper plan to move on, as you would with any business.

If you make a good choice, buying sites can absolutely be profitable, as long as you know what to do with them.

Buying Blogs seems to be a good idea, but can I buy a blog for less money? (round $20) I googled buying blogs. I don't know where to find blogs to buy.

Don't expect much for $20. You'll get something that isn't unique, and it's probably not going to rank without an extreme amount of work getting backlinks. It's more work to get backlinks to a site with articles that aren't unique than it is to just build a blog yourself, imo.

Like previously stated if it's not really unique then it's going to be almost the same amount of effort getting backlinks and getting it "known". If you planning on just spending $20... Then don't get a blog. Wait until you are able to spend more money on a QUALITY blog.
