Do you consider these numbers good?

This is my first ever post here and this is the reason why...

I'm just getting into the "make money" field after being successful in another niche for 10+ years. I have just completed an internal launch on my first "make money" product. I used a name squeeze page and took people through a launch process. After all said and done it worked out that I made $37.55 for every qualified lead I got. Is that considered good in the make money field?

The reason I ask is because I'm going to do a big product launch with this product (it's a $1894 product) but first I would like to see if these are the type of numbers that are attractive to Joint Venture partners in the make money/opportunity field.

Thanks.

  • Hi Nick....... really depends on a lot of factors. What was your conversion rate? Did you use a targeted list? Was it general traffic?

If you sent 1 million visitors, and only 10 purchased, then it is a very poor rate. On the other hand, if you had a list of 100, and 90% of those individuals purchased, then yes, that's good.

Also, what was the original value of the product? If you sold something that had (real, not 'fake' value) of say $2000, then $37.55 is really poor. If, however, you managed to create a sales page that took what equivalent e-books/courses sell for $10, and managed to sell it for $37.55, then that is excellent.

I'm a bit confused by your question though, as it seems if you are looking at those types of numbers, then you would surely know what is 'good' and 'not good'... so please expand...

    Thanks!

The reason I asked that question is because I was looking at this from a Joint Venture partner point of view. I was very happy with the numbers personally. I had a 2.82% conversion rate for a $1894 product. And then I had a 4.01 conversion rate on a $187 per month membership.

With this product launch I'm wanting partners to send traffic to a name squeeze page and I'll handle all the rest. So on my page with more information about this product launch I'm saying that partners can make $15.02 per qualified lead. That's at 40% commission as it is a hard copy product.

      Thanks.

The industry average is 1% conversion rate.

    Yours is higher, so congratulations!

Your offer will definitely be appealing to potential JV partners since you have a $187/month membership that converts at 4.01%.

You need to figure out for example what is your cost per lead, cost per conversion, profit on product and more. You could really even break even or loose money on campaign and still be profitable if you have the right backend set up.

Ok, thanks for the feedback. Now how do you go about getting JV partners? I have started contacting people about my product launch but it's very slow going. I thought maybe the numbers weren't good enough.

    Thanks.
