FREE EXE eBook Compiler This one is very good.

Hi All,

I just got through reading an ebook that was in EXE format. I had forgotten how nice EXE eBooks are.

PDF is boring compared to EXE

OK, I know all the reasons we use PDF, however EXE is still popular in non IM eBooks.

I always used eBook Paper and it is good. But, I just found a free one and I really like it. It has great security from password protection to a nag screen where you can put any security warning you want, and the security warning is repeated at the bottom of each page.

Here it is, I don't know why it's free but it is totally FREE. WebSiteZip Packer - Free Html to Exe, Ebook Compiler, E-book Publisher, Ebook Creator/Generator Software</font>

M$ has a "HTML Help Workshop". It can do the same thing, and many many more features. It is free too.

    Hello,
I have not opened any exe ebook in the last five years and I really can't imagine any one else would either.
I have enough problems with viruses just surfing the web.

    Something new soon.

      BINGO!!!

It may be the next "Richest Man in Babylon" but I don't open EXE files that say they're books.

Have to say I'm in full agreement here, no way I'd ever even consider opening an EXE eBook!

In 2010 there really are only 3 formats to consider:

1 - PDF because its a universal format that can be read on any device.
2 - ePub as it's the standard for all eReaders except the Amazon Kindle
3 - AZW as it's the format used by the Amazon Kindle

Yes ... one forgets: they can be much nicer than PDF's.

Very much so. There are Warriors here who've sold tens of thousands of .exe-file ebooks. It's only internet marketers who don't like them.

Thanks very much for posting this, George. Do you happen to know whether its products are readable on Macs like some of the other .exe-ebook software, these days? (Or does one have to pay for that?!).

      and Mac users.

I am unable to open exe. Yes, I could add windows to my mac, but I'd rather not.
