Real estate niche- a waste of time? - or worth it?

Is the real estate niche worth to get into? or not really (to build a list I mean)

This is because it isn't as easy as people think to build a portfolio of real estate properties, and requires hard work (like most niches)

so I wouldn't want to disappoint my list of subscribers in this niche(if I make one) with a product that I make only for them to find out that it is so much harder than they expect to get into real estate,...so might hinder their progress to purchase my higher High end products (due to this disappointment)

I know alot of the buying power depends on the value + quality of content you provide too, but I still was wondering. what are your views?

My dad's a real estate agent. I would advise against getting into it.

The only service or product I can see real estate agents actually being interested or excited in buying from an IMer is a website system/package. If you can do that, or want to do that, than maybe.

Because most realtors go with some regularity to conferences and seminars from their real estate company, it seems unlikely that they would bother with any sort of info product.

I've been in this market in one capacity or another for about 15 years now and can tell you it is not an easy market right now. You have to think about your target which is typically a late adopting, hard to change their way real estate broker/agent. I cant tell you how much money I've grabbed from the table because an agent has thought they were too good to go after it.

I do feel there is a market in teaching people how to help others make money in real estate. My rental information is going to gear to people that want to be a rental agent. The information will be more money-opportunity just as it was to me.

The one lesson I have learned the past month is only dip your line into a river teaming with fish instead of some backroads pond.

I have no agenda but to help those in the same situation. This I feel will pay the bills.

I think you're right. As far as I can tell, Creative Real Estate Online | Real Estate Investing Information has been going strong for years. (I have no personal or business affiliation with this site or anyone involved with it.)

  • Depends on what you can do.

Zappos does over $1 Billion in Shoes online. Who would have thought people would buy shoes online? That's why Amazon bought them for $1.2 Billion last year.

    Shoes!!!

Gee... back to real estate. Seems like there is a lot of it and people want it.

What can you do with it?

You can be profitable in almost any niche if you do the research, very targeted and value packed.

You'll notice everyone in one business field will be saying "No ones Buying" and you'll find some in that same field that will say it's very profitable and there buying like crazy. Market your product/service right and you'll be ahead of the people complaining.

There's tons of money out there, go get some!
