Make these two changes, and see your productivity/profits increase 200-300% within a month

I haven't seen too many people post anything on this topic, so thought I would, as I realize it is probably a KEY component many marketers are missing out on. Working hard is great. Working smart is great. But if you are NOT doing these two things... you could be missing out on a lot of happiness.

1. Diet

Some people (including myself, writing this post is helping me remember ) sometimes forget that diet is EXCEPTIONALLY important... your body is like a car... if you stick dirt & junk & debris in it, you can't expect to get too far... Likewise, if you put premium high octane gasoline in it, good quality oil, then you can expect to drive for hours without a glitch.

The same way is with your mind & body... If you eat lots of potato chips, chocolate bars, pastas, tv dinners, drink (a lot) of alcohol, fastfood joints, etc, etc... not only will you feel sluggish most of the time, but you'll probably spend countless hours on 'mindless' activities in front of the computer (checking e-mail,IM, skype, watching youtube videos), etc, etc, literally "spinning" your wheels... "feeling" that you are "working" hard because you spend 8-10 hours in front of the computer/day... and wondering why you aren't where you want to be...

So what is a good diet? Well.. for starters, cutting out the above foods and focusing on lots of fruits and vegetables is a step in the right direction... junk food is addictive... try eating right for a month, and not only will you notice an amazing increase in productivity, but you'll feel a lot better about yourself too...

2. Exercise

Not saying that you have to get "6-pack abs" like a lot of the marketing infomercials say But... Just a 30 minute walk a day will make a huge difference... I don't mean walking to your car, driving for 30 minutes, and then walking to your office (which amazingly, myself including, at one time thought was "exercise" )... but a serious, going for a walk outside in the bright sunshine, moving your legs, moving your arms type of exercise... As an IM'er (especially if you are new)... chances are most of your day consists of simply waking up, checking e-mail, browsing forums, taking a "break" by watching t.v., taking a "break" by eating, etc, etc... all of these activities are 'sitting' down... People were not "designed" to live a sedentary lifestyle... yet, especially in the last 2 decades, it is actually possible to live a 100% sedentary lifestyle... (work from home in front of the computer, order food, having groceries delivered to your door step, have entertainment systems (i.e., t.v.s, etc) installed)...

Get out and go for a walk... walk up and down stairs... Not only will you start to experience clarity in thought which will translate into more success... But your body will be able to 'clean' itself, and help make you a happier person...

Conclusion:

So... if you want to see a significant boost in your productivity, and overall lifestyle... try changing your diet (consistently) and exercising (consistently) as well... do this for a month, and you'll notice an amazing difference.
