Hello, Can you please tell me how i go about doing the following. I want a signup process with the following. Step 1) opt in - enter first name and email. Step 2) you are sent an email (you must go to your email provider) step 3) you are sent from the email to a basic registration form via a link step 4) your name and email are already filled in for you on this registration page step 5) Thats it you have completed the signup process By doing these 5 steps you are in our amember database and signed up and opted in to our aweber database. I only want them to click one confirmation link via email through out this process. any scripts that i need to purchase? please reply. |

Hey, You can simply the process: 1. Use comes to your aMember signup page... which has only Name and Email to ask... 2. User is added to aMember + User is added to Email list (using the plugin for that autoresponder like one for aweber) That is it! I remember once we setup this process for our client. One thing: username was given as email... and password was auto-chosen and sent by email.. so user was not even asked to register...just a simple opt-in.. and he is registered as well as added into aweber. Does this helps? Regards, Mohsin PS. aMember signup page is also customized not to look like a standard aMember...so user is not confused or asked more than a simple action of optin.. |

In theory, I think you can get Aweber to send variables like name and email to the confirmation page to write them in, so you would make the confirmation page = the registration form and write them in there. In practice, I never got that to work (didn't try too hard, though). I use the Amember-Aweber plugin and single optin, so the process goes like this:
