How about typing in keywords that potential buyers might use and contacting the affiliates on the sites that Google throws up?

Don't write a book on anything to competitive I had a a weight loss on clickbank and got no where it just got lost in all the other books in the same niche.

An alternative is to put your book and Amazon and let them promote it

You need to announce your affiliate program in webmaster forums and provide them some useful stuff to promote your product..for clickbank products how successfully get the affiliates is more important because these will bring long term income.

If you post an affiliate product in the Clickbank marketplace and it has a decent commission, and looks like a good seller the affiliates will come to you. But I agree with the previous posts post in the Warrior Forum joint ventures I am sure their will be a bunch of willing affiliates, and the affiliates in there are usually seasoned marketing professionals the kind that can get your product sold!

    Good luck!

As mentioned above, you need to start with a good product, good offer, good sales page and good conversion data.

After that, there are generally two ways to get affiliates:

    1. Let the affiliates find you. This is where you get your product listed in the CB marketplace and the PDC marketplace. You might list it in affiliate directories. You might blog about your aff program. You might advertise it here on the forum. Stuff like that.

    2. Go find affiliates. Here you seek out affiliates and approach them about selling your product.

As mentioned above, you can run a search in Google for your keywords -- folks ranking well are your potential affiliates. You can also find potential affiliates by:

-- Running a Google search for the names of similar products in your niche. See who's selling them and ask these folks to sell your product, too.

-- See who's running PPC ads in your niche.

-- Find out who has the top selling products in the CB marketplace. Those folks are all potential partners.

-- Hunt down the folks who have newsletters, blogs and forums in your niche... all potential partners.

There are other ways, but you get the idea.

As for approaching them -- you'll need to write a good proposal to sell these folks on the idea of selling your product. This proposal should include the benefits they'll get (such as commission rate and a co-promotion from you), a link to download your product, conversion data and anything else to help make your case.

Those who know you, or at least recognize you, are more likely to say yes to your request. (Especially if they're a "super affiliate.") So it helps to build relationships or at least recognition.

    Cheers,

Making some bit of a splash in your niche is very important, in my opinion.

If you just release your product and list it in ClickBank, I doubt if anyone will find your product unless you are targeting a small niche that nobody has any products listed (in which case you should double-check if your niche is really that profitable).

In the other hand, if you got a small launch for your product, then you may have a handful of affiliates. Take care of your affiliates and constantly improve your product and salescopy. Sooner than later, if your product proves to be profitable, the number of affiliates you have will start to grow.
