Can you put affiliate links in hubpages?

Title says it all. I googled it, and found things saying yes, but they were all talking about google adsense, amazon, and ebay affiliate programs.

Didn't see anything that directly said no to independent affiliate links

As long as the hub is not considered overly promotional then you can use affiliate links within your hubs. You are also better off creating a hub on "Doing Whatever" as oppposed to "Thing to Do Whatever" though I have seen some pretty promotional hubs up there so I'm not 100% sure where they draw the line.

What about a review of a product?

I (or I should say one of my pseudonyms) have done hubpage product reviews without any problem. Basically, it should be informative rather than a fawning bobblehead yes-man promotion of the product or service, so that whoever reads it will find it useful vs getting annoyed.

But you had affiliate links directly in your review? Or did you link them to a site of yours?

Even if a site currently allows affiliate links policies can change quickly I suggest you do redirects thru your own site. Then if the site changes it's policies you can change the redirects to something else

Yes you can, but there is a limit. I think not more than 3 affiliate links only

I would put links to your landing pages or pages that are optimized for your keywords. You will get better results that way. I wouldn't load them up with ads or you will get banned. If used correctly hubpages can show huge results.

Participate with others and you will get traffic to your hubs, too.

You should never put affiliate links in hubpages or ads because people will click on and off without paying any attention. You want to put your affiliate links on a blog that you can name with your own unique URL. Then you can promote that one link with all your affiliate links listed on the blog, along with some extra text describing the links. You can also cloak your affiliate links to say "Click Here" or "More Info"
