Can 2 Exact Articles Rank on "G" in DIFFERENT Directories/Sites?

I tried to find an answer but was unsuccessful, hence the thread (I know there is a huge thread about this but did not find this question there either):

If I publish an EZA article (with low competition) on my site (with links intact) and backlink it well ... is it possible to rank along with the exact same article on page 1 of "G?" I know about syndication, etc.. but experience has shown me that "G" does not allow it. Are there cases where more than one article directory will have the EXACT same article on page 1? Anyone seen this? Thanks for the feedback.

It is possible to put an article on your site and outrank the exact same article that is on eza or other article directory.

I have seen the exact same article in all spots of the 1st page before, all from different sources.

I don't have the links here with me to show you, but I have seen it.

I've also seen the same article more than once on page 1 of Google - only when the competition is reasonably low, but it does happen.

I recently found someone had taken one of my EZA articles (which was ranking 5th on Google) & put it on their own site (without my links) and it ended up ranking 3rd above my own. I was rather peeved that not only had he stolen the article but ended up outranking mine (which was actually making me about $1000 a month at the time).

Yes they definitely can. I had an article on two different content sites. They were ranked 1 and 2 respectively over millions of results. Exact same article.

I have heard about this but not seen it happen. In fact, I tried to take low competition keyword articles and put them on one of my sites, after backlinking etc ... they never showed up.

    Here's your proof:

Go to Google and search for popular hairstyles 20th century...

The top two results are the same article on different directories that I wrote a few years ago. Farther down is that article at another directory. And then there's a YouTube video of mine also in the Top 10 for that search term. Not really the same, but shows you that you can dominate the Top 10 if you re-purpose your articles.

Yeah, I saw it on #1 and #4 slots. BTW did you add the "I'm never going back to this site again?"

No. Apparently middle schools assign hair and fashion from an historical perspective. I've seen comments from what appear to be lots of girls in that age group on that article talking about how they were looking for info for school projects. Weird.

This is good information because I have never seen one of my articles post for the same exact content on Google. It was when I was spin it a little would it show up.

Will have to give it another few test.
