Pros and Cons of Having Your Site Videos actually Play on YouTube

I just put a video up on my blog using a code that takes the user back to Youtube to watch. Normally the videos just stay in their original size and stay on the blog. I was wondering how you all felt about this.

A) Here's the video that plays on YouTube when you click it.

B) Here's one that where the video plays on my site.

If my ultimate goal is to drive more traffic to the site (rather than keep the visitors hanging around) does option A get more exposure for the site because it plays on YouTube?

Thanks for your feedback.

    Here's my view:

    Advantages for posting on youtube
    - you get the chance of your videos being viewed by other via youtube (as they are on the youtube search engine)

    Disadvantages of posting on youtube
    - Your visitors are 1 click away from clicking somebody elses video. When they leave to a better video (which they think is better- im not saying your video is poor lol) They will leave your website = you have potentially lost that visitor.

I can alternatively write this post as

Advantages of hosting your video on your own server
=Your visitors are stay your visitors and ARE NOT 1 click away from clicking somebody elses video as they would be on youtube, so you would keep your visitors in

Host on videos your own server, but bes of all test.
