Indeed...though it has nothing to do with google tv. In the slatev video I posted above ther run ads on Fox news. Around 1.8 million people saw their ad. They got over 2000 visitors due to their ad and it cost them about $1,800. Their ad ran quite a bit to.

Interesting stuff....just wish they would've done more than that stupid little video they ran to a difficult to remember URL with zero call-to-action or incentive to actually visit the URL.

By their numbers, they paid right around $1 per visitor. Almost like paying $1 a click, I guess. But with that lame ad, and no conversion stats....well, this experiment leaves alot to the imagination.

Maybe have to experiment a little bit myself here soon.....

This is far better value that a clickthrough cost...if it is on a national television channel it could be quite ... forgot the word I am searching for...

Unless my ears or mind is tricking me, they said they got about 1,000 visitors and the ad buy cost $1,300 dollars. That's $1.30 per visitor. With a 2% conversion rate, you'd get 26 sales off of that traffic. You'd have to have a profit margin of $50 to break even.

Interesting stuff. I've made a note of it for future reference. May try it sometime. Thanks for the post.

This is really exciting to me.

While its not really something that ties into Local Marketing (Cable TV buys are still a better match)

There are a lot of products that can definitely afford to play in that arena.

While we may be thinking of direct marketing by TV, remember that another important factor to consider is TV advertising is great for status and implied endorsements.

Just imagine your latest marketing course with the famous words "As Seen On Bloomberg Business Network"

A few weeks ago is when I noticed that Google integrated this feature into AdWords. I clicked around, but I'm in no position to try it right now.

However, it is tightly integrated into AdWords. Actually, so much that I had a hard time getting back to edit my AdWords campaign.

I'm working on some new things. So, nothing to promote just yet.
