Starting an Article Marketing Campaign and NEED YOUR ADVICE.

Hi,
Im starting an article marketing campaign for a product in the health and beauty niche, and need some advice. I'm trying to get the most out of my articles, and am wondering what I should do with them. Im planning on placing them on Ezine articles, about 5 a day, for the next 30 days, but am wondering how I can get them the most exposure.

Any suggestions? Thanks.

Robert

Ezine Articles will definitely get you the most exposure.

Hopefully you are submitting totally unique content, if so, you will be allright.

This is kind of a "loaded" subject...but here are some tips...

-Emulate the articles that are most viewed in the category you are submitting to, but make them better.
-Make sure your catchy, with a lot of specificity and maybe throw in numbers (like 5 ways to... 3 tips for...)
-Instead of emulating the articles that are most viewed, you could also find keywords that are under-served, create articles around those keywords, then they have a better chance of ranking in Google. Then you can make those the next "most viewed" articles.
-Then, just pay attention to what types of articles are getting the most viewed and try to stick with those topics, constantly improving on CTR, views, etc...

If you are looking to get the most out of your articles, EZA sure is not the place to do it .. Instead of typing up this long reply maybe it is best you spend the time reading the "entire" thread.

You do want to get the most bang for your buck.

    1. Put the article on you website before posting it to Ezines.
    2. Use the articles in an Email Campaign.
    3. When your articles have been approved send tweet the URL.
    4. Combine the articles and create a free report or Ebook.
    5. Let you Facebook friends know about the articles.
    6. Be active on forums in your niche that will let you put what you want in your bio box.

When you sign up for Ezines you can have them send you an email everytime your article is approved - Also Ezines will send Social Media messages for you.

Log in - account manager- account preferences ( for setting up your email). They will send you the exact URL for your ezine article. You can use this for twitter etc.

Now go to "Social Media" in the main tool bar. Pick what social media you are using and fill out the forms.

All good advice so far. I'd add - although it might be too late if you're already at the writing stage - to do some keyword research before and build a list of niche keywords for which you can get those articles ranked at Google. You appear to be going for the quantity approach, and that can work. I and many others prefer the quality approach - where you first find keywords that can be ranked for without a lot of extra work. Then you write articles around them and maybe do a bit of backlinking after to get them on Page 1 at Google. That's how you build long-term, sustainable traffic to your site from your articles. The advantage with EZA is the ranking juice they pass on to articles posted there. If you combine that with good keyword selection, you can build a juggernaut.

Of course, that's just one side of the equation. You also have to write the articles in a way that pushes the readers' buttons and gets a good % of them to click your link. In a nutshell, you do that with this formula:

    1. Inspire curiosity (article title).
    2. Hold their interest. (article body).
    3. Don't give the "real" answer(s) away (article body).
    4. Offer the "real" answer(s) at the end (resource box).
    5. Explicitly tell them to click your link (resource box).

    Works like a charm.

As always John, excellent advice! I need to start buying your WSO's!

I'm actually going for a quality/quantity approach, looking for keywords that have not been used by previous eziner's, little competition in first page of google, and I Am certainly writing quality articles using the tips you have given.

This is why I don't outsource my article writing to foreigners. Not to say they all write bad, but in general, they can't push Americans buttons like we do.

I guess my main question is, how do i get my articles to rank higher in SERP's, which it looks like Sheila answered that one.

Thanks again for your help everyone!

    Hi Robert,

Posting 5 articles a day to EZA for 30 days will get you some exposure, that's for sure!

I'd post them to your own site though first, preferably a blog (maybe you've already done that, but just in case), since it's your content after all, and you do want to have your content on your own turf. And absolutely follow some of the good linkback advice here, especially from the two Johns.

    Good luck!

    Cheers,
    Bruce

Here's a pretty related question, do I post the same article to all of these directories, or do I have to modify it some? I keep hearing about the duplicate content myth. Any suggestions here?

It is your choice to spin the articles or not... You will not be hurt by any so-called penalty because it is not duplicate content, it is syndicated articles..

Good advice above, but to add to that:

1.) don't assume that the most viewed are your most profitable - track your resulting sales and find out!
2.) don't assume that ezinearticles will be your most profitable directory. ArticlesBase.com is excellent also, and at times outperforms Ezine for me.
3.) submit to at least 10 decent directories; the also-rans make up for about 1/3 of my sales, sometimes more.

    Regards,
    PCRoger.
