How would you build "How To Stop A Cat.."

Hi

If I was building a domain around cat solving problems.
What would you suggest and why?

Method 1:

Register a new domain for each problem

Domain: HowToStopCatPROBLEM.com

Method 2:

Using word press and build categories related to cat
solving problems.

Domain: HowToStopCat.com/PROBLEM
#build #how to stop a cat

Method #2 sounds more rational, and also can lead people on the website for one problem to find another problem as well.

Whereas with method #1, they may never find your other websites, and thus they will never see the other information you have to offer, therefore, you could be losing out on potential customers.

Method #1 also sounds costly, when you could just use subdomains, and keep one domain.

      Thanks ;-)

I saw a movie just a few weeks ago about a guy who
bought 100's of .org domains and added CPA offers.

However since that was promotional related I really
could not say if it's good or bad. I will study this further.

Been glued to GKT for 2 hours. And is amazing how many
niches that is really untapped. Seems bugs in your home
and blemishes and health issues is very interesting.

      Thanks,

      Daniel

If you use method #2 you can also leverage all the promotional work you will be doing for each category whereas in method #1 all your links are spread out among different domains.

    Use method two.

I also recommend a domain name such as www.cat-bazooka.com - that will stop it....

Cat sites can get a good amount of traffic. A lot of people looking for cat info in general it seems. I'd go with option 2 and cover all cat problems, cat stories, cat health, cat tips, cat pics, etc.

I would be careful about revealing your niches here it would be so easy for an experience warrior to jump and steal a lot of the top rankings from you.

      lol .. exactly.

But people do look for things like how to trim their nails, hairballs, scratching the furniture, declawing issues, and adorable pics.

        Hi

Thanks for the inputs. I am not going to use Cat Niche.
I replaced it. But my niche is close (Angry wife's lol ok
        kidding)

I think I go with method 2 to start with. However using
forward domains for keyword phrases do work. I mean
search Google and most top niches do have domains
with keywords or phrase in domain.

        Thanks,

        Daniel

I Like method 2 but why wouldn't you just use HowToStopCatProblems.com. to me just HowToStopCat.com makes me think of Cat as possibly a person.

Cashcow is right, cats rule the world and they know it. haha

oh hey! I just remembered how you get a cat to ignore the expensive toy you bought at the store!

Step 1. Take it of it's package and throw it on the floor.
Step 2. Wad up a piece of paper and throw it on the floor.
Step 3. Proceed to watch the cat bat the paper ball around for hours while you try and find the receipt for toy you bought at PetCo.

Method 1 is for a niche website.

Method 2 is for an authority website.

Method 1 is easier, but Method 2, if done properly, can produce far better results.

Depends on what your monetization strategy is.

If you are selling a highly focused infoproduct or cat remedy for the PROBLEM, then I would stick to a domain that contained that problem for sure.

I have run across this challenge many times with others, they have a site that is too widely cast and their product sales page gets lost in the shuffle.

If you are targeting a specific cat problem, think of that as the spider - then you cast your web wider with content pages that feed that money page. These could be directories off of your main domain or it could be additional sites on other domains, the goal always to get traffic back to your sales page.

Now, if your target is Adsense or advertising, then yes, you want to build wide, rich content around several problems.

Actually I've trained my cats to do tricks

      - but if they're not hungry when you give the signal, they just look at you like:

"You know, you gotta be crazy here..."
