Membership - Newsletter style questions

I am working on a membership in which I email most of the information out to the people.
Sort of a paid newsletter and a couple downloads. All emails will be loaded ahead of time at
aweber. And I can do broadcasts, of course.

Then I got to thinking, with the way email is blocked and sometimes it just doesn't show up, is this the way to go anymore?

For those of you doing it, how is it working. If you could do it over again, what would you do?

Thanks.

A paid subscription newsletter can be very profitable.

But, you need to establish a relationship first.

    Start with a freebie.

Then, when you have established a loyal following, present the "special" newsletter with extra, super-duper, secret, etc. info, products for $x P/M.

I know of a woman who, on a whim, made such an offer to her list of 1,000.
for $1.00 P/M they got the "special" edition. 500 signed up.
    An instant $500 P/M raise.

So, depending on how much you want to offer, the sky's the limit.
I would say $9.95 P/M should be very obtainable.
    500 x $9.95...

      lcombs, thanks for your thoughts.

This will be a self improvement newsletter. I am a professional coach in this field, doing emotional freedom techniques and other therapies that assist a person to overcome events, attitudes and beliefs that hindered them.

I have a list of health niche subscribers I will be running it by first, so I'm to the point I should be able to get started right away.
