How many IM projects are you working on?

Hey guys,

I'm going through a really productive phase right now working on two different business projects and I also have about 4 other ideas I've come up with that I'd like to pursue. That got me wondering how many different IM projects are you working on and how many do you think you can realistically expect to juggle at the same time without losing focus or adversely affecting the potential of any one of them?

Do you prefer to work on just one thing at a time, to the point it's making steady money before you start on the next project? Or is it in the nature of internet marketing to be working on or promoting lots of different things in different niches? Is this possibility one of the biggest benefits of IM that everyone should try to utilise?

Thanks in advance for any responses.

I'm currently working on three ideas which are too many for me right now. After these are launch, I'm planning on going back to the "one at a time" method with firm monthly income goals before moving on to the next one.

I have more ideas in the IM niche alone than I have time for.

Plus like 2 other major projects I have lined up outside of the IM niche.

It definitely becomes a headache trying to keep track of all of it.

I'm starting to believe it's better to work on one thing and follow through with it before you start working on a 2nd idea because if you don't do it that way, you have a tendency not to follow through with the final phase of your projects.

I've been more productive focusing on one project at a time. Mainly because there will usually be a few unexpected delays and problems that come up. Having just that one project makes it much easier to push through those setbacks.

I have too many projects going on right now! But I can handle it.

I work on one project for a half a day and the second one the other half. It works for me but when I first got started I jumped around to much but now I have got this whole time management thing down to a science.

I can multitask (I'm a great unitasker) on about 1 thing at a time. I try and keep it simple. I have enough on my plate keeping track of the sites I have up.

The more things you work on, the slower the progress of 'each one' will be.

However this shouldnt hinder you... and is Not a bad strategy.

Mixing things up can also work. It is about effective time management!

    Too many lol.

I have built up a lot of money from internet marketing so now not only do I have a lot of ideas for online projects but I am also involved in quite a few offline projects.

It's OK now because I have a good system and I personally do not have to do the "manual labor" for each project but in the beginning having so many projects going on at once caused a lot of information overload.

Too many projects too early, is an easy way to get overwhelmed. Compiled with the fact, that for most people this will be their first time being their own boss.

My advice would be to spend time on each project and perfect each one. As opposed to have 10 different projects 50% done.

So to answer your question I think that it is a benefit of IM but also a disadvantage.

I am working on quite a few projects. It probably isn't always the best way to work. However, sometimes I really need a break from working on just one site or project. I like to get creative and test ideas.

I have about 7 products/sites that I am marketing/seo-ing etc.The products are made I am just getting quality backlinks, writing articles and documenting the whole process for a bigger project.

Also, I just found out today I will be going to France to compete in a 24 hour web design competition in June. I need to master Photoshop. So I got a lot of stuff going on.

I think as long as you focus your time, work smart and get something done then you will get results.

    Cheers!

Ughhh...I have the same problem. I've found that if you can focus on one at a time (which is hard for me), you do get the satisfaction of having it done and makes it easier to work through the next one.

You can get 40 hours of outsourced work for a couple hundred bucks. If you can farm some stuff out, it's nice when youget to work on it and half of it is already done.
