How To Get A TON OF QUALITY Targeted New & Repeat Viral Traffic FAST!
There is a simple technique to generating tons of new and repeat visitors that few people will tell you about (maybe they just don't think it's necessary).
I'm not going to drag this out cos the tip is brain dead simple...
Here's what you need to do to GUARANTEE you get a TON of viral traffic...
When I say link to sites people will find useful, I'm NOT talking about the overdone affiliate linking strategies you're being taught, I mean the totally altruistic linking strategies you're rarely encouraged to use.
You don't have to agree with this piece of advice.
However, I should point out that I'm telling you this from the perspectives of a buyer and a seller...
As a seller I became so popular with my sites because I rarely if EVER shared content with affiliate links. I just shared what I found helpful and it was always totally altruistic. And I REGULARLY shared links to other great sites.
That paid off for me in spades.
As a buyer, I DO NOT return to sites that talk all about themselves and how great they think they're doing (e.g. too many blogs and sales letters do this).
I DO return to sites that A) Give me a great feeling of being HELPED (usually free of charge or for a VERY reasonable price) and B) Share tons of quality links to other sites I would LOVE visiting. I buy from these sites 10 times out of 10.
Think about the reasons why you're at THIS forum... If the reasons are different from A and B above ignore my advice. If they are the same, you better get started building that strategy into your site ASAP.
That's INSTANT new traffic for you through the power of free word of mouth advertising. Not only that, but you'll also get repeat traffic because people can't remember or prefer not to bookmark ALL of the links they find through you, instead they will bookmark the guys that shared those links!
It's the dumbest, stupidest, why-didn't-I-think-of-this, daftest way I know to drive a ton of visitors to ANY web site... by GIVING away traffic you will get a TON of quality traffic yourself and if I'm not mistaken, even the search engines will LOVE you for being so generous.
I have NOT said go on out there and build LINK FARMS i.e. sites that are just full of links to other sites, while that may seem "cool", any fool with a couple of fingers to type can do that. And search engines dislike this too from what I understand of them so no, please don't do that.
What YOU want to do is give VALUE with those links...
Say you decide to create a list of "The top 20 tips for looking beautiful at any party", you may decide to share some great tips you use yourself, say about 10 great tips and then populate your site with 5 more tips garnered from 5 others sites that you also LINK directly to (without affiliate links).
Here's how that would look...
20 Tips For Looking Great At Any Party...
Tip 1. Mind your color combos! Blah de blah blah...
Tip 2. Gwen Steward advocates that you should always use lip gloss, she says dry lips are a super turn off for both men and women, so always carry a small stick of lip gloss with you. Get more great fashion tips from Gwen at http://www.gwensteward.com
Tip 3. When a color code is requested, ADHERE to it blah blah blah
Tip 4. Wear high heels if you're short, and lower heels if you're godzilla
Tip 5. I discovered a powerful tip from "Henry's beauty tips" the other day, they were talking about how to wear just the right amount of make up, and they shared a fab tip... Don't overdo the eyeshadow, because frankly, moderation is the key to make up success.
And so on, you get the idea...
Work in those links in subtle AND obvious ways and REALLY want to help your readers.
They will be thrilled and they will STAY on (and RETURN to) your site to get MORE of the same great content, also many of them WILL share your work by sending their friends to your site even without you bribing them to!
Edit: In the spirit of this article, I've just got done reading a great article on viral marketing http://www.primaryaffect.com/blog/vi...ocal-business/ it has a great YOU CAN DO IT, TOO approach that really is what many people I have talked to actually need to get started to start seeing results. Also watch closely for how the latter article uses the very tip in THIS article.
Edit: When you link a site or blog that is truly useful, you will also get a chance to be linked back by the sites you've linked to. How? Well, if you've linked to a blog, you can post a useful comment and state the fact you have linked to them in your article and link to that article. That will generate traffic for you from the very site you found useful yourself. You can also contact them by email if there is no commenting feature on their site. When you tell some site owners you have linked to their articles, they will keep an eye on you (traffic) and some will link to you on their press pages (more links back to you and traffic from the sites you actually like).
Don't do this just once or twice and expect success overnight, I know you're smarter than that
