What's the hardest part?

I am still fairly new to the whole IM world but I have already figured out that some parts of the process seem to take longer than others. Some also take longer than you think they would, and others less.

I originally thought that article writing was going to be time consuming for me so I was prepared to outsource it and save my time for other things but I have since found that article writing doesn't take up all that much time in the whole process.

Right now I am struggling with getting my websites organized. Knowing what fits with what. What scriipts I need, where to put my squeeze page or do I make it a pop up? There are just so many combinations and I don't want to look like an amateur.

I just wondered what was the most time consuming or hardest to manage for others so I can know where to expect that kind of thing.

I think the hardest part is often the trial and error. When you are new, its hard to know for sure just what will work, so developing a strategy that works takes time and careful study. Should you give up on something? Or might it work given more time? Should you try something new, or stick to your plan?

It is okay to contact me! I have been developing software since 1999, creating many popular products like phpLD.

The hardest part is getting good conversion rate.

I hear you, A good conversion rate can be hard to achieve when you are not sure how to promote the product or the product just doesn't have that appeal. But I guess that's all part of knowing your target market and how to to communicate with them.

Yes trial and error can be hard. When change happens you can never be sure if it is in response to something you did or just a wave of traffic. I know that I am still sorting the best ways to test without feeling nervous that I might make things worse by doing something dumb. But I guess that's all part of the learning process.

It's the idea- once you have the idea, the rest is just a matter of outsourcing othe rpeople to do it or doing it yourself...

I should probably do more outsourcing. I try to take on a lot myself, it is the whole learning by experience thing but I guess I should concentrate on perfecting just some things that need to be done and outsource the rest. It is hard when you have a limited budget.

    Dale,
The hardest thing for me is to make sure one project is done (or as much done as presently possible) before moving onto another one. I currently have about 10 half-done projects sitting on my hard drive that I'm sure will all be decent to good sellers, but I need to work on one at a time to completion.

I don't presently do any article marketing or many of the things others say you have to do on this forum. I'm not saying that they are wrong, I'm just saying that in my niche I haven't found them necessary. This leaves me time to create my own products, which is about 95% of what I do. I've just never done well with affiliate marketing, etc... For those that do it well, it pays well, but I prefer to have my own product and make 100% of the profits.

If I could give you any advice it would be this -- find a niche that you like and that you are sure has potential, work on your website, etc... until it is ready, and then start promoting. Once all that is done, start on another one.

    Barry
