Surviving In Today's Economy
This is the stuff that horror movies are made of.
How does the online entrepreneur stay alive? Better yet....SHOULD we even BE in business, in the first place?
It's very easy to listen to all the doom and gloom that the news media is shouting, and find reasons why we shouldn't be doing this or why our business will fail or why we're not making any money or.......
The online entrepreneur does have some challenges, but challenges do not equal defeat or impossible goals. Here are some heartening facts:
1: According to Google, at any given time there are over 25 MILLION people online doing active searches for either an online business or some additional source for income.
2: Every time there is a Recession there is a marked increase in start up businesses.
3: In a slow economy, people re-invest in themselves, and their own assets.
This is a GREAT time to be in business. If you are involved in an online business where a part of your income comes from expanding your own marketing team, you have millions of people looking for you. If you are selling an exciting product that is priced very competitively, people will seek you out.
The points that you need to remember,and keep in force are very simple. Do what has been a successful action for you,and repeat it again and again. In sales, we all know that it is a numbers game, and we never get 100% success. However, don't automatically throw in the towel and go into panic mode, simply because you're getting some rejections. Remember.....when the economy was doing great, you STILL had people who chose not to buy from you or join your organization. You didn't get scared then, right?
Right now, you may be experiencing a drop in sales or sign ups. I've been talking to more than a few online entrepreneurs, and they are all saying pretty much the same thing. The opt ins are still about the same, but the actual sales are off. The solution? Increase your promotion! Take what you know that has consistently yielded positive results and push it further. You want to increase the number of people visiting your site, which will in turn increase your opt ins, and that will raise your actual sales.
It's simple math.
