Affiliate/JV Question

I've taken a look at offering my product to affiliates, and as of yet remain undecided. However, during my research I've come across several sites that claim they are "where the heavy hitters" team up.

Some of these sites charge to be a member of, others do not. So I'm wondering, where are most affiliate and JV partnerships offered to gain exposure and locate "super affiliates?"

This is not a path I've taken until now, and I am intrigued. I've managed to setup my own partnerships with large companies through a formal approach the old fashioned way, but I am interested in meeting individuals who already sell to business owners, and am unsure where to meet hte bulk of these prospects.

Well you have your regular affiliate places like cj, linkshare, shareasale

But if you really want to connect with affiliates why not go to affiliate conferences like affiliate summit, thinktank etc..

Because of my target market, I stay away from the CJ, Linkshare, etc type of sites. Thanks for the feedback. I will likely stick with the approach I'm taking now. I was just hoping to hear some positive feedback in regards to these types of sites to speed the process, but based on what I'm hearing, the long route is the correct route.

Don't pay for these services, they usually cost a lot and never really mount to what you are after.

If you want to build personal relationships with "heavy hitters" and "super affiliates" for JV's and partnerships, you have to do it the old-fashioned way: NETWORKING!

But you probably shouldn't "pay" for such a service as the formal/old-fashioned approach works much better of approaching companies, individual affiliates, etc.

I think you should not pay to them because than you are on risk if affiliates don`t try seriously to market your product than may be you will loss your money
